I didn't read the quote correctly. They're saying his endorsements should have totaled approx 10 million that year (not the Forbes period year). Whatever that final number was, Arum was supposed to try and more than double it. So he was supposed to try and get more than 20 million in endorsement money. My apologies.

Haha, nothing more needs to be said than this.

Except that it is possible there will be alot more than 100M to split between the camps depending on how well the fight goes. That's why PPV% is vital to ensuring a fair split.

Pacquiao can hardly be expected to agree to give Mayweather 100% of the PPV revenue (which Pacquiao will be 50% responsible for generating) when the fight is expected to smash the PPV record.

In the PPV age we've never had two megastars of their magnitude face each other in such a highly anticipated event worldwide. It could do crazy, unimaginable numbers. If Pacquiao agrees to a flat fee it will be only Mayweather benefitting from that, and no-one can even try to justify that as being fair.

I don't think 50/50 is fair to Floyd.
I also don't think a flat fee of $40,000,000 is fair for Pacquiao.

Floyd Mayweather is boxing's biggest draw and therefore deserves a larger share of the purse but Manny Pacquiao is the 2nd biggest draw and therefore should be entitled to PPV revenues.

What needs to be done is Floyd should make an offer that includes PPV upside.

    1. Agree on a percentage: 60/40, 55/45, etc.

    OR

    2. Give Pac the $40M guarantee and $XX for each PPV sold over X.XX million.

    Compare payperviews:
    --- Floyd/Cotto, vs. --- Pac/Bradley.
Use that in determining the percentage each fighter would get.
The bigger the draw, the bigger the percentage.
Thats as fair as you can get.
This automatic 50/50 **** wont happen.

no. Bradley has no fan base, Cotto has a huge fan base. it's not a logical comparison.

Also had Canelo on the card against an established name. Of course, the floyd fanboys will just dismiss that as if they had NO influence.
