    I'd rather see Martinez/Chavez or Martinez/Golovkin

    Floyd's too small.

Martinez will get the same deal that Ortiz got. Probably 5-6mil guaranteed and no PPV rev. And yes the fight should be at 154, why does Mayweather have to handicap himself and go all the way up to 160 for Martinez like he is the cash cow calling the shots. Mayweather is more comfortable at 147, Martinez is more comfortable at 160, so fight at 154 in a level playing field.

You must not like Cotto and must not like the sport, and you got to be ****in kiddin me.

Everybody that gets put in front of Martinez gets put down.

Who has Khan beat? Who has Canelo beat?

Who in the **** is Guerrero and who the hell has he beat?

Who did Ortiz beat? Is Berto the elite fighter?

So what you're saying is that Floyd is a FAKE ASS CHAMPION at 154?

He's a titlist there. If he beats the top contenders at 154 he'll solidify his claim.

I doubt he even stays at 154 though, he looked small.

Martinez fights nothing like Cotto though. Cotto is an inside fighter where his weight and strength matter a lot to him. Martinez is a counter puncher who doesn't really rely on his size, but relies on being atheltic for his size.

That sounds like a fake ass champion to me.

If you can't fight someone at 154 and you're the CHAMP, then you're a fake ass champion.

There is no other way around it.

I'm guessing he will unify with Canelo after Canelo beats Williams or Kirkland next

Nothing wrong in suggesting this matchup at all!

Dunno why people are slating Martinez so much. Im sure the same people were whooping when he put Paul Williams on his face....the same Paul Williams everyone was picking as a potential lb 4 lb'er

If the pacman bout doesnt come off then I cant really see why anyone would be against Mayweather vs Martinez. So what if he cant speak English etc

You might not need to be built in the mould of a Cotto to get to Floyd. Martinez, with his advantage in height, reach (which he does rely on) and power (along with pretty decent speed), presents a significant risk to a man who knows he can’t evade punches like he once could. Mayweather, with all his insistence on self-preservation and not taking unnecessary threats, is too smart to fight at a higher weight against a guy who’s pretty much two weight divisions bigger than him.

Yes he should. That catchweight **** is not accepted and will not be respected. Sergio said he's a 154 pounder fighting at 160 so Floyd must face him at 154. He is a southpaw who will give Floyd some trouble with his speed and his movement. I say he should fight Sergio @ 154 for 80%. He can get his money and the fans can get another respectable fight under his belt. Win lose or draw it's about proving yourself. Floyd wants to go down as the best ever? Well he must face Martinez or Pacquiao.

How many times has Martinez been put on his ass vs C level competition. Are you comparing upcoming fighters in their 20's to a fighter knocking on the door of 40.

Let's see how he would handle Cotto before he gets a fight with lil Floyd, shitttttttttttt why not even prove that he is a B class fighter by avenging his KO loss to Margarito, Martinez is a fraud point blank period

    20%? :patsch

Floyd offered Pac nothing on PPV split because that's a risky fight.. Not only for his legacy but also for his health.. :deal

There's no way Floyd will give 20% on Martinez.. Considering he doesn't have a huge fan-base and most of the fans that would buy PPVs are Mayweather fans not his.. Plus Sergio would be trouble for him, especially for his health.. :smoke

That's smart. Martinez can knock Margarito's eye out. Margarito is clearly done.

I remember when Ortiz was gettin the **** beat outta him by Maidana.

Yet, Floyd made the fight, so what the **** are you talkin about?

Cotto got the **** beat outta him by Pacquaio. Before that he got the **** beat outta him by Margarito.

Then Cotto fought Foreman and Mayorga...

    Yet Floyd fought him.

So what the **** is your problem? I don't think you're a boxing fan.
