Thats interesting. I always felt Bute was lacking deserved credit for not being in the super 6. Do you have a source where it says Bute was not included?
I wonder if Bute could have got in as one of the replacements? B Magee was offered before his fight with Bute and A Green got in and G Johnson even dropped a weight division and got in. Do you know if Butes team asked to get in?

 

Bute's home territory is Canada. I never said he didn't have a Euro heritage, but he fights out of Canada, and is a Canadian citizen.

 

Bute and Pascal's team were VERY surprised they weren't invited to the tourney once they found out the fighters selected

David Haye lives in Cyprus but he is still considered British and fighting at home when in England. Haye even has the Cypriot flag on his shorts sometimes.
