Denotay is fighting guys with records that Price was fighting after 3 fights...fact! Denotay has almost 10 more fights...but sits about 10 fights behind where Price currently is in terms of progression. In his june fight hes fighting someone who hasnt won in 7 fights :rofl
Price has only had 13 fights and has already beaten better competition than Wilder has in his 21 fights.
People are mad at this level of comp because he has shown no progression fighting this cannon fodder.

America have not had a dominant world champ for some years now and after looking at the current scene, I started looking at possible reasons. Possibly Americas beat HW prospect at this time is Deontay Wilder who is 20-0 (20KOs). Looks impressive, but who has he fought? Now look at how much tougher the European HWs are matched on the way up Tyson Fury in 17 fights has fought undefeated 16-0 Pajkic, undefeated 14-0 Chisora, undefeated 13-0 Nascimento, undefeated 12-0 Power and McDermott twice Derek Chisora in 17 fights has fought undefeated 14-0 Fury, undefeated 16-0 Helenius, D Williams and S Sexton twice Robert Helenius in 17 fights has fought L Brewster, A Levin, S Peter, S Liakhovich, D Chisora and undefeated 12-0 G Tony Could it be because of soft matching on the way up, why American HWs have tended to crumble when facing decent European opposition who seem to be matched alot tougher on the way up? What do you think? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since this Chisora has fought V klitschko and is fighting D Haye next and Fury has fought Rogan, all fairly tough matching for young careers especially when you look at who Wilder has fought. Now Price in 13 fights has fought McDermott and Sexton and undefeated Dallas. I think this tougher match making on the way up helps these HWs along and Im not sure that Wilder has been stepped up well enough to make a jump yet, though it would be a good match up and as you note Wilder has had more fights -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wonder how Wilder would have done if matched like the above fighters?
the funny thing is americans used to go on about europeans 'staying at home and fighting euro-level guys'....now its americans staying at home fight 'american-level' guys....which when it comes to the HW scene they are light-years behind. How can Wilder keep a straight face facing these bums?
Exactly. A bum of the month club would be funny and can benefit a fighter while they get used to fighting at the professional level. But Wilder's been getting this "experience" for 4 years. You have to raise his level of competition after a while or he will not improve.
