Petey will surprise a lot of people with how difficult he proves to be.

Keep believing the hype. His chin is good enough to weather the early storm. He was KO'd with a perfect shot by a guy who legitimately wobbled a 179-lb. Kelly Pavlik. And other than that, when has P ever even touched the canvas, especially below 160? Not even a series of devistating clean shots from Lara made him take a step back.

And when the fight gets to Round 8? Canelo better hope he's up by at least a few rounds. Because he will have to work hard to keep P off his ass and win rounds when the guy is still throwing 100 punches a round. Regardless of Paul's mechanical shortcomings, he presents some challenges that are simply unique to the 154 division.

I look for Paul to use his biggest and most underrated advantage to see him through this fight - his stamina.

They'll stack the undercard. It'll be a good show.

Sergio KO's Paul's lanky ass and than Erislandy whoops up on him and now, everybody wants to fight him... Sometimes I hate boxing and MMA becomes a lot more viable....

I don't get it. You seem to be quite intelligent but hold ridiculous bias toward certain fighters. I will bring this back up after the fight but i believe this is going to be a pretty bad for pdub

Does p will have an iron body because that big frame leaves him open for big body shots.. canelo almost took out Moseley with body shots alone ... something canelo will do is chop that body down and the head will follow ....

Also Lara was head hunting and potshotting.. canelo will work the body and throw big counter combos...

    Canelo late tko

That's a high risk Canelo didn't have to take, PDub is still very much capable of a shock result, yet beating him isn't worth what it's used to, RESPECT to Canelo for taking such a low reward fight he may lose.

#1 - I know I'm biased. And ridiculously so, as you state. But I can't help that. I like who I like, regardless of what everyone else on ESB thinks. And with a couple of noteable exceptions, I have been right about PW. I know he has certain limitations, but that doesn't stop me from rooting for him.

#2 - All bias aside, I don't think Canelo has the power to stop a guy like P who just hasn't been hurt at that weight. And he doesn't have the style to follow the only blueprint to outbox him. What happens if Canelo can't put him out in the first few rounds? What then? When have you ever seen Paul tire out and succumb to accumulation? Everyone talks about Margarito's stamina, but did you see when the two of them fought? It was Paul who outlasted and was the better conditioned. Even in the first Martinez fight... did you pay attention to how many bombs he took, and how he kept coming? It was Martinez who gassed, and allowed him to press forward and win some cheap rounds at the end of the fight.

Yes he has his faults, but he is tough, relentless, always comes to fight, and shows more heart than anyone you can name, even in defeat.

This is a very good fight. Props to Golden Boy for making this fight.

I'd like to see Paul Williams win so that he can finally get his big money fight.
