Thats because he digs them up after theyve been retired for 4 years like his last and next fights, or they have disgraceful paper records. If you don't think there's something wrong with the level of opposition he's fighting, then there's something wrong with you.

And? Does any one here have money invested in him or something? He can fight bums off tv all he wants. When he's ready to fight real fighters, they'll put him in there with them. I just don't get the outrage.

Deontay can fight. He proved that in the Olympics.

What is a mess is that they are not growing him by fighting bums. To date, his best win by far was against a shot Damon Reed who's biggest fight was getting KO'd 13 years earlier by Herbie Hide in 1 round.

They aren't doing him any favors by having him fight garbage, he needs to fight guys who take take him into deeper waters than 1 round.

He should be fighting the likes of Vinny Madalone, Eric Molina, Nagy Aguilera, That fat **** from Brazil, Frans Botha, etc. Guys who know how to fight and can teach him something more than, hit guy in head he'll fall over.

You want to know what is going to happen to him if he keeps fighting guys like this, eventually they'll throw him in with a shark like Seth Mitchell and he'll get eaten alive because Mitchell won't tip over at the first sign of a clinched fist.

If he gets eaten alive, that's his problem. However, his team has a plan for him and they're going to stick to it. They're doing what they feel is best for him. If it doesn't work, then so be it. It's not like the boxing world is dependant on Deontay Wilder. I remember a lot of people criticized Ward for how his early career was handled. They said he didn't fight enough, and that they were bringing him along too slowly. Now look at him. I'm not even concerned with Wilder right now. Eventually they will put him in there with some real comp.

You are a thick headed idiot. This is hurting him and his career. As an American(and a black American at that), I certainly want to see him succeed, and we've seen this countless times where a young prospect is never tested, and when he finally is, he is ruined.

How do you know? Again, people were saying the same thing about Ward. Who was the best fighter that he fought before taking on Kessler? Look at Sergio Martinez. He spent years under the radar fighting low level opposition. You can call me an idiot all you want, but you're not there every day with Wilder. You don't see what his people see. If you really want this kid to succeed, then you should trust that the people who are heavily involved with him on a daily basis, are doing what's best for him.

I hope he turns out to do really well. However, I'm also sure that his handlers want for him to do well moreso than anyone on this message board. Maybe this sounds crazy, but maybe we should wait and see how this kid's career turns out before we question his development. But then again, I'm just a thick headed idiot. What do I know?

His career is evolving exactly as it should, more fighters should model their careers after Wilder.

this corpse is having his 2nd fight in 8 years... coming off a loss to a guy with 23 losses. so coming off a loss to a guy with 23 losses to a guy thats 21-0 seems pretty logical

Wilder's career is moving too slow. He has 21 fights all ready. How much seasoning dose he need. I'm not suguesting he should be fighing a Klitchko or even Povtkin.
I kinow he got off to a late start even as a amature, but he went to the Olympics winning a bronze. Add that to his 21 pro fights and he has enough experance to be fighting top 25 guys. Over protecting never helped anyone.

  12. I agree. I cant lie about that ****. Deontay has fought some cab drivers and some part time boxers. Fisher Price has beaten some tested veterans I agree.

    Correct.

The only thing that really, REALLY bugs me when most folks rag on Wilder is, it absolutely is NOT him ducking anyone, it's his management. (and also a few fighters that refused to get into the ring with him. Deontay has said over & over that he wants to fight top-level guys. Why he's being held-back at this absurd level is a true mystery. (And it's not some "glass chin" as a few of the children on ESB seem to think.)

I was referring to your misspelling of "best" as "beat."

-which is both funny and correct at the same time.
