how would calzaghe do against the SMW's of today...ward, froch, bute direll etc?

I'm a big fan of Calzaghe and i think that a Ward fight would be the toughest, but people talking of Bute giving him a hard fight. Calzaghe was a southpaw also and he loved to fight other southpaws and his workrate would murder a stamina wary Bute.

 

Didn't Ward seem tired against Froch in the late rounds? I don't see him living with Calzaghe bar the odd moment if he gets tired fighting Froch..

 

You know......I ****ing hate Joe Calslappy, I despise him. He's like an arrogant Paulie Malignaggi without the ability to wear a guy down with accumulation punching.



But....only Ward, Bute and Andre Dirrel would stand a chance. Oh, and Golovkin if he moved up. But I still think Joe outpoints each of em except Bute could finish him with a viscious body shot and Joe's just soft hitting enough to maybe give Dre some confidence in his punch resistance. Yeah, Andre Dirrel and Lucian Bute could beat him. The rest......CLOWNED. :-(

 

Bute is southpaw and that would be his downfall as Joe would out box him as he feeds off other soutpaws and would completely outwork a stamina wary Bute and Dirrell would get schooled imo. Joe is seriously underated on ESB he had KO power before his hands gave up on him and he still schooled people with brittle hands.

 

Calzaghe in his time was better than any SMW now. He could beat everyone and W or L he would give Dawson hell. Still could beat him and would beat anyone at SMW now.

As far as Dirrell, he's way more potential than actual production. Guy has skills but is too mentally weak and Calzaghe would figure him out and outwork him. Too much heart, too much stamina. Dirrell is overrated as I said, people look more at his potential opposed to his production which is very well lacking.

 

Would beat all except Ward
Ward could do everything hopkins does but with more enrtgy, athleticism and stamina

 

Ward, Dawson and Bute beat his ass, Dirrell has a good shot, he out works froch and still gets by Kessler (which was a very close fight back in he day) Slappy is the most overrated fighter on this forum in the eyes of his fans. they are worse than K2 fans and tards for their blind obsession

 

I always here this BS about calslappy bad hands and that is the reason why he got into ***** fights. But calslappy always slapped in the pro ranks so does that mean he always had bad hands. if that is the case he never had KO power in the pro ranks

 

He loses to Ward, Dirrell, and possibly Bute.

 

None of these guys would beat him.

 

Imagine if joe was a yank....americane would still be shooting their loads over photos of him

 

Joe beats them all but would struggle with Ward as hes tricky and athletic and as someone mentioned Chad is a big LHW so that wouldnt be too comfortable but the workrate would get him through. Bute and Dirrell couldnt carry his jockstrap

 

I think Ward and Kessler would school Dawson and his weak defence.

Calzaghe would make him cry!
