prime for prime at there best weights.
I dont want this to turn into a weight class issue like my Arguello vs Benitez thread. Just straight up fight at there best.

I don't see how this would work. Their best weights would not have intersected. Morales was best at 122 and Arguello was best at 130.

Arguello would beat Morales by decision.

Your not understanding my question. Let's assume there best fighting weight was the same. Who do you think would win.

I used to go with Morales, but I've changed my mind, Arguello wins and maybe by KO, Morales was too easy to hit

I'll take the 122lb Arguello that fought Marcel to win a close one against the best 122lb Morales you can conjour up.

I'll take Arguello of Kobayashi to smash Morales of Pacqiuao I down the stretch.

Arguello does everything better than El Terrible, and hits much harder. It's a no-brainer.

They pretty much are. No doubt that of Morales' fought with same day weigh in's he'd likely be a super feather at least, which was Arguello's best weight.

If Morales boxed Arguello he could cause him some problems. But Arguello will tag him, draw him into a war, and as the rounds go by Morales will be a state.

I know Morales is very rightfully loved on these forums but I think that sometimes clouds peoples oppinion about how well he would do against his contempuaries.
I've seen both in there primes and I think Arguello catches him late.

Not hard to do, Arguello would do better jabbing on the outside and countering Morales as he comes in, then gradually backing him up and breaking him down

I happen to feel Arguello gets a bit underated here.

Suprised that there isnt more input on this considering how popular Morales is on these forums.

To me one of the biggest differences would be the coolness of Arguello. Morales was a warrior through and through, I have the utmost respect for him, but he could get hot-headed in there and prone to errors in judgement as a result.

I think it's a fantastic matchup, one I feel favours Arguello slightly as Morales was not much of a mover, and would be seeking to engage Alexis. I'm not sure that's alltogether wise, even for a fighter of Morales' caliber.

I don't think it's anywhere near a foregone conclusion as to who wins though...but I'd favour Arguello.
