So Alvarez Williams will be PPV

Regardless of it being PPV worthy or NOT. I believe it will be a very entertaining fight, in which Canelo will get tested.

 

This is gonna be a great fight, the styles on paper are just saying Fireworks. Not only that Williams is coming to fight hard for 12 rounds, Props to GBP for making the fight were many haters said No way they make this. It should answer many questions about him that people have.. and keep the haters quiet.


Also one other fight that has been confirmed is.

PDL-Johnny Gonzalez... wish it was Salido but PDL will do.

Williams is 41-0 vs. Orthodox fighters. I have highlighted several reasons and examples why elsewhere in this thread.

Canelo gets exposed in this fight and will be lucky to win 4 rounds.

 

Bad Analogy. That would mean it's free to me, I will buy it because it will be a great fight, and the undercard will be stacked.. I'm not hurting for money where a few dollars is gonna change my mind of a great night of boxing...confirmed is Gonzalez-PDL as co main event and they still have more fights.

Disappointing that this fight is on PPV. Hopefully GB will in fact stack the card to make it an enticing buy. So far, though, Gonzales-PDL as the co-feature is a major let down.

Supporting a fighter that you've been watching over the years isn't that shameful. Has Paul ever been in a headline PPV bout? I will mostly pay because Williams is a solid dude and if he's looking to cash out them I'm even ok with that.

There's the old defence of a fighter that pads his record -

"A fighter can do whatever he wants and fight what's best for his career and heath. Fans won't be there to pay his bills when they're old and shot."

You pay for his future bills by paying for his fights, and in return you expect him to give it 100% and retire when it's their time. No fan wants to see a guy run himself out there to get KO'd over and over again, and Williams ain't quite there yet. We'll see after this upcoming fight.

Plus I highly doubt this fight will be a stinker, I'm sure most of you have paid for worse.

 

This fight won't sell outside of "boxing circles" but for a boxing fan this is a damn good fight, not sure what all of the bitching is about? Don't buy it if you don't want to see it, I get that, but to imply this is a "**** fight" is stupid as ****.

I hear what your saying Imperial, but it's better than all those Latin Fury PPV or Pinoy Power PPV. I hear Jhonny Gonzalez vs Danial Ponce De Leon will be on the undercard, that will be a good fight. Let's see what else GBP can throw on there.

If it's for the same price as the Mayweather vs Cotto :-( no way... That is too much. Everytime I say I'm not getting this fight or whatever, somehow I end up buying it anyways. I know I'm a sucker for a good boxing fight, more so when I know they'll be exciting.
