at some point pacman said how about 55% for winner and 45% for loser? did that sound outragous?

or 60% for winner 40% for loser.

hel even 70% for winner or 30% for loser?

If mayweather is confident hes gonna win he might as well take that

(and FYI im no ******* because i beleive mayweather is more likely gonna win the fight)

The winner should get more of the paperview pie

Purse splits are determined by revenue generated, not wins and losses. According to revenue generated, it may be the case where Pacquiao only deserves 40 or 45%(I'm not saying this is the case, I'm just throwing it out there for the purposes of this discussion). He would make out great then if they agreed to 40/40 or 45/45 with the winner getting the rest. Win or lose, he's going to get what he deserves. For Mayweather, he would have to win just to get what he deserves to get based on revenue generated.

Now does that sound fair to you for a guy who's been in the 2 biggest non-HW fights in history? Particularly when he's made that kinda $$$$ in his last 5 outings? When you have about 4 good bouts left in you, how much sense does that make?

Mayweather typically wins by decision. emmanuel has just committed one of the robberies of all time. Putting a couple of mils on the line for the winner gives emmanuel incentive to repeat some foul play. It's really no surprise that emmanuel is trying to make this offer, and Floyd is saying **** you and your promoter in response to the offer.

No-one in their right mind would leave their overall purse in the hands of three judges when bob arum is promoting the other fighter. No one!

    Just ask Abril or Marquez…

this idea has been suggested here before.

what if the ppv/ticket buyer determines how his payment is going to be split?

it could range from 65-35 floyd to 60-40 pac.

For Floyd to tell a guy who is consistent with 1mill PPV (and he doesn't even need to fight on Mexican Hoilday with Mexican on his undercards to boost PPV sales) to take a 40mills flat fee is laughable. But why are we getting to this anyway, Floyd said no money is worth his health to get him in the ring with Packy. He even wnt as far as calling himself a coward just to shut y'all up.

Both are outrageous. Pac needs to accept a reasonable offer, win, then get his preferred terms.

If BS like this made so much sense, why don't you name a few other huge fights set up this way? Right.

That's obviously nonsensical and would never be agreed upon.

but the thing is Mayweather is the bigger draw and the PPV king right?

so if any1 was to get favoritism from judges it would be him right?

hes pretty danm confident he will win and he is the PPV king.

so if pacquiao was to offer something like that. or if pacquiao offers the extreme of winner gets 70 percent wouldnt it be smart for mayweather to say yeah to that??

These dudes are professionals this isn't horse racing or Manny's personal favorite "****" fighting, all the money and business will be handled prior to contracts being signed.

The question that should be asked is, "does Mayweather deserve to make the kind of money he does?" Pick any of his last few fights and tell me with a straight face that he earned it. Where do you think think the cost is passed down to?

Exactly this. Pac is going to have a hard time losing a decision in VEGAS.
