I think the danger Mauricio will get into is thinking he can pull the same stuff he got away with against Provodnikov and Alvarado, based on Rios' last performance.

He doesn't have the defensive moves of an Abril, and a Rios who's gone about making 140 in a smarter and more disciplined way could hit harder than anything he's felt from even the aforementioned two (the biggest punchers he's faced)...

very possible, but for the fans this is a good fight

a pressure guy who is easy to hit vs a guy whose handled pressure in the past and has fought cut and bruised

Herrera win or lose will make this a fun fight

id love a Rios Provodnikov bout

    Booby Arum. . . .

Rios vs. Alvarado is a dream fight for fans of the "brutal science". . .

But Arum wants to try to milk both before risking their "0's" Although Rios has a draw, and should have a loss. . .

**** fights as far as quality of opposition but both should be fun while they last. Shows they have zero confidence in Rios and will not put him anywhere near a boxer again..... they won't even match him with a decent slugger like Alvarado who would be an amazing exciting fight..... instead of the guy Alvarado beat??? It's not like Alvarado's very good, the fact they went for Herrerra shows me Rios is gonna be fed C/B- fighters fighters that match up well stylistically and can't box from here on.....***** ass way to do things...."we can't beat decent boxers so lets just not fight them". Abril rematch is the only way to save face but they scurred
