Nah. I think Bute will get a fair shake, and get the decision if its clear. If its not, then i guess its certainly possible it goes the wrong way.

I had originally been pretty firm in my belief that Bute would KO The Cobra, but t ot as certain now. Still think he wins though.

I know one thing and that is that arena is going to be a sweat pool.. I think if the fight goes late it will massively go in Froch's favour as Bute may be struggling getting down to weight the heat and the pace of the fight might go in Froch's favour.. Just a thought..

    Just found this:

    :good:deal

Main lesson for me from Roach is that Froch has to be careful with the hayemaker, after the jab, to avoid the Bute uppercut. Keep it sharp and fast and precise, rather than big. Don't fall in on it.

This is what Bute's trainer said as well about his crosses and hooks. Go for speed and combinations, rather than one-shot power.

In a video of a Froch's training in another thread, McCraken was asking Froch to use speed more and less power and with straight shot, no hooks. I think those are very very good advice to score on Bute. With the crowd, Froch dont need to land clear or land with power, he only need to land often even its not in a clear way, because the crowd will make us beleive he did.

If he do that and is able to take Bute's shots, I think Froch have a great chance to win a close UD/SD.

But with Froch, when its not going so well, he often go back to his old self, brawler, slugger with wide shot and such. If Bute can by his timing, defense and precise shot make Froch loose his game plan, it will be an easy win for Bute, maybe even a KO/TKO.

Froch is more associated with loosing than Bute fact.

I agree with you, but I thought his trainer told him to use hooks too, in that video, especially to the body... :think

Might have missed it. In any case, the feeling of it (as I understood it) was to be fast and sharp with any shot you give.

Yap. If you're not the fastest, and if you throw wide shots, like Froch does, you ain't gonna be hitting Bute much unless he's going backwards in a straight line (which he sometimes does, unfortunately).

Lucian Bute via late stoppage, I just think his body attacks will wear Froch down and if Jermain Taylor can drop Froch then someone with power like Bute can finish him.

Then again I wouldnt be surprised with a points win for the Romanian

    Yessir!

Will Froch fight behind the long jab, really conservatively, to keep Bute from attacking the body, because Froch doesn't wade in with a loopy right that misses? What do you think?

I think that would be smart. Try to fight Bute inside with sharp, fast hooks to the body - Bute can't fight inside. Don't let Bute fight at the length he likes. Keep moving and keep jabbing. :conf

Not shure about that, since he worked on his right hook much more from the Johnson camp and with the short left hook that sent Andrade down in their second fight, if you add that to the short range he needs to let a powerfull uppercut go, I think he will not be pushed or shoved because he 's much bigger than Froch on fight night. He can't wait on Froch to come-in in straight line as he often does to create openings. I feel Lucian and Stéphane agree they have to hurt Froch early and keep pushing him to a war....expecting Froch to open-up and leave his attention on the protected zone (ribs and chin), like Johnson did in Québec. Anyways it goes, it will be a great night and I'm so excited it's almost there!!!

Can't wait to see how many right hooks land on Froch's jaw, and how frequently Bute throws them.

Some of you guys got me curious about the focus they put on his right hand, there was quite a bit of snap on it working the mitts with Larouche (in Montreal I believe, could have been Florida too).
