Well hes not going to announce that the bloke with the record of 5 - 3 (2 ko's) is shithouse and cant fight you peanut.
He is paid add some commentate and try to excite the veiwer and not to evaluate and criticise.

 

Excatly right any dip**** would know thats any commentry teams job to build the excitement up the best they can for the viewers.I dont mind Andys commentry he does a good job for the domestic boxing scene :good

Andy is a good media guy, but as a boxing commentator...just average.

 

Andy's alright he's more of a color commentator and he doesn't claim to be a boxing expert.
I think he does his best to pump up the viewers without going over the top and while he may be a tiny bit bias towards aussie fighters its nothing compared to the way english commentators favor their fighters:dead
And its not a real fight night until you hear Andy say
"the ring girls are dancing up a storm":yep

But it's a Bit harsh calling it a debacle mate.
He put up the best fight he could and he came up short nothing wrong with that.

 

I reckon andy has a better grip on nrl. He covers that better than boxing even though his roll is not to call the action.

 

Andys old man mike raymond was a legend caller at liverpool city raceway in the 70's/ 80's.

Any of you blokes old liverpool speedway freaks? I loved it as a kid...went to most meetings, 20 min walk from home. Good days...
