Do you rate Andre Dirrell, and if so for what reasons?

He schooled Froch and Abraham and took both of their 0's and Dirrell/Ward if they could and would both fight for real would be the second most interesting match in the division after Ward/Bute.

Such a waste of talent if he developes ring I.Q and learns to make adjustments in a fight instead of just falling back on plan B running and C fall to the floor he would be a force. Heres hoping he gets his **** together.

He's a top 5 fighter at 168, and maybe even top 3. He beat froch and AA who at the time was the tourney favorite. He was still a little green for the tournament. The next few fights will be huge for him. He has all the tools to beat any fighter at 168 and I would put money on him against bute, Kessler and a rematch with froch in neutral location

I'm suprised he hasn't fought again since winning his come back fight. Anyone know why?

This is accurate. if Froch is # 2/3 at smw, then Dirrell clearly is same
level. I would pick him over Kessler or Froch, not certain over Bute,
Bute hits fast and hard, not certain how he would take the shots. I'd
call that more of a pick em, Ward would school him though, neither
Dirrell brother would be ready for him

Dirrel has no faith in his chin. Thats why he pulls punches and potshots, then slips and runs.
Yeah it looks good for a few moments, that is until he's spent 5-6 straight rounds slipping and ducking and running.

Take a punch Dre. Test yourself. He could be the best if he only had confidence in his punch resistance. :-(

direl was a prospect at the begining of s6 and still remain a prospect after we can talk a lot and speculate, but the reality is that he lacks that exta spark, that he needs, to be on the top. So yeah direl umm unproven .

    Unproven?

He's a proven spineless, heartless and chinless mental midget.

The only meaningful question is: will he ever find himself in the right conditions and with the right mindset for such a decisive top fight?! If the answer will turn out to be negative, your belief might still be true yet of no real value/interest...

What a bunch of bs on this thread. Dirrell beat froch and was beating the crap out of aa when he fouled him and got dq'd.

Dirrell can beat anybody from 160 to 175. No fan of any fighter in that range would be confident in picking their guy over dirrell.

Dirrell is a flawed fighter. I think he fell apart in the super six after controling both fights. Him being green had a lot to do with that. Dirrell is a humble kid that lacks confidence

    No.

I think Ward beats him to a pulp.

    And Dirrell knows it.

Thats why he doesnt want anything to with Ward.

I DO NOT suggest he acted against Abraham. I think he threw himself on the canvas to get away from the heat, but the injury from Abrahams punch was real and nothing he pretended. I think you are right when you say the punch might have lingering effects on him.
