Disclaimer: If you post anything favoring Floyd you get labeled a *****, and if you post anything favoring Pac you are a *******. I don't give a ****, this is my opinion and observation. We are free to discuss anyway.

Okay, we are all for the betterment of boxing.

We are all in favor of fair play. And lastly we want the truth that our athletes are not in anyway cheating.

Here's the complexity of the situation.

Floyd was out of the picture, he's retired.

Pac is about to face Hatton. Then in less than 2 rounds Hatton's brains were splattered across Las Vegas. Then Floyd Sr. gets his usual yapping ass going and sayd Pac maybe onto something.

That issue was compounded greatly by Floyd (who at this point came back and beat Marquez), and including discriminating the Philippines as well which is completely uncalled for. Instantly painting suspicion on Pac, and putting shadows in all that he has accomplished point which no one has actually questioned at that point, except their clan.

Okay, now we hear Floyd say Pac should stand behind him regarding the cleanliness of the sport.

I mean, seriously, after being labeled as such without any basis or proof and now he wants the other guy to stand behind and offer support?

Honestly, Floyd could've said that "I wanted boxing to be clean. And to start, my fight with Pacquiao will have a much more stringent drug test to prove that we are the cleanest athletes" or something.

It's easy to say that "I would say yes just to shut him up". We are not in his position people. He was unfairly disparaged with this accusation. Would you really want to support a person who has already degraded you in public? In boxing terms, they are more or less equal and the other guy actually played a hand in the court of public opinion. (In fact, the lawsuit may be a better thing, the court may ask Pacquiao to prove himself as well.)

I am going to be honest, there are better ways for Pacquiao to have shut Mayweather up, like implementing a drug test on his fight with Bradley, or from the start he could've just said "we are both start Floyd and I am not bending on your will" or something.

But try to understand why Pacquiao would not submit himself to the test on the Mayweather fight.

If you walk away from extra testing its because you have something to hide

Not because you are taking a moral standpoint

That is the equivalent of saying "I want everyone to think I am a clean fighter, but im not willing to prove it"

I hear where you coming from, but don't you think it is unfair in itself for Floyd to place suspicion on Pacquiao?

Mayweather's test demand was a scam and way to get out of the fight in the first place. He mentioned it so much that it took life of its own and now its a big thing, not necessarily a bad thing.

Back when Mayweather demanded the tests it was unseen so Pacquiao didn't have an excuse, he only said "who are you to tell me what kind of tests and by whom they should be performed" and he had every right to that.

Now, Pacquiao is standing his ground on his original statement. I fight under a commission and I take any test they require, I've been doing whatever they say for over 50 fights.

This is more or less what everyone is trying to say to the Pacquiao critics.

Yeh, its unfair Pac gets labeled a cheat if he is not one.

But, he should have risen to the challenge Floyd put in front of him, proved he is clean and taken the test the first time around.

Instead he walked away and argued about the testing cut-off date.. This is what solidified everybody's suspicions

    Yeah, I mentioned that earlier.

There is a right way for Pac to have acted or should've said the right words at that time.

Now both sides are on a standoff. Even fans in here.

It was the way Mayweather went about demanding the testing, which worked unfavourably. Because it was blatantly clear that he didn’t give a rat’s ass about wanting to "clean up the sport". It was just a campaign to smear Pac’s name, downplay his accomplishments, and minimize the threat he saw in him. That’s how this drug testing thing began: "That mother****er’s a cheat, so I want him to prove he isn’t one", as opposed to "I fundamentally believe in cleaning up the sport, so what better way to do it than the two best being examples of it".

And to this day, Mayweather is still using that stick to beat Pac. He's accepted the testing, and yet he's still barking "take the test, take the test". It's pathetic.

And it's so tiring with it's monotony. And a lot of people went for it as well.

Mayweather should not be allowed to dictate to Pacquiao what drug testing to use.

Pacquiao should be dictating it himself. He's onto his 5th fight since Mayweather started drawing attention to the drug issue, yet Pac has still not done any real drug testing. He could have used the Clottey, Margarito, Mosely, JMM, and Bradley fights to clear any level of suspiscion and proven he's clean. Instead, he refused. Makes no sense to me. :think

How many of you have caught a liar because of MULTIPLE excuses and or STORY CHANGING?

Better yet...how many of you would believe a person who did this?

This is just garbage. While I don't believe Mayweather was 100% sincere when he brought up, he did it to get under Pacquiao and his camp's skin. Instead of dealing with it in a mature way, Arum started insulting Mayweather via the media and before you knew it Mayweather/GBP and Top Rank were trading argumentative media releases in the public sphere.

Had they dealt with it behind closed doors it would have been resolved. But since it has been blown out of proportion we are now left with two egotistical camps trying to protect their reputations.

Imagine if two camps got together and one camp wanted a bit more money but instead of negotiating a purse they run off to the media and fire off insults about how money-hungry slimey they are. Do you think they'd be open to negotiation or do you think it would just strengthen their demands.

I'm sorry, but anyway who can't acknowledge both Pacquiao and Mayweather plus their respective camps are equally at fault are sporting biased opinions.
