Not very many dedicated 130 pounders I would pick. Early reign Chavez probably pips him. I would pick him to beat Arguello over 12. Teleport him into Saddler's era he would be in some deep water there...especially if Sandy had a ref that let him do this thang. He might be the best fighter I've seen there...maybe.

Arguello, Saddler, Kid Chocolate, Chavez and Armstrong would all beat him there. The problem with matching Mayweather against former 130lbers, is that the rules regarding weigh-in times changed. Mayweather may have weighed in at 130lbs but he was much bigger in reality. Someone like Salvador Sanchez weighed in at 126 and probably fought at 128. Mayweather weighed in at 130lbs but would have fought at a much higher weight. Assuming he fought lightweights who cut 5lbs overnight, he'd also lose to Duran, Williams, Canzo and quite a few others.
its a big misconception that fighters back in the day didnt cut weight, they did. they just didnt cut as much as todays fighters because they never let themselves get out of shape since they had to fight every 4 to 6 weeks. anyway ill take arguello over mayweather at any weight
