Probably most underrated boxer today, but unfriendly style and like someone else mentioned his antics make him unpopular. Only way I ever see him becoming a draw is if he takes the "villian" moniker to market himself. Froch fight was close tho I thought Andre won and the AA fight well AA did sucka punch him, but just embarrassing win for Dirrell. And of course, the birth of thr infamous Dr. Shaw Hi.

He's clearly blessed with everything you would want in a fighter though he's missing the mental fortitutude....an essential attribute infused in every great boxer. He lacks the ability to close the show/deal against top tier opposition ala Zab. At times he toyed with a championship caliber fighter like Froch and AA...I remember points in the fight where they looked clueless; however Direll seemed to have no idea he could do want he wanted in there and just let he's fears take over. If he dosent get his act together he will be known simply as "wasted talent".

^ This.... if dirrells mental toughness matched his skillset, he would be top 3 pound for pound

sorry but you americans, i dont want to fight my friend so i will fake brain damage that is bad the guy should not be able to get a liecence imo, lying being ***** hole and trying to discredit AA, as well as the bad taste it leaves people who have been affected by brain injuries

Abraham is absolutely ****ing garbage at 168. He gets credit for the Froch win though.

If only he didn't ***** out of thw tourney and avoid Ward and Bute I'd be a big fan. He still has a lot to do

He's not the most likable guy. This clouds people's judgement. He's clearly hugely talented and has two quality victories against Froch and Abraham.

i would say, its because he didnt beat Froch and his big win over Abraham was just a DQ win only. Abraham isnt a very good SMW, and who was Abrahams big MW win over?
Dirrell, I think could have beaten Froch, but he seemed to fold under pressure a bit.
Dirrells best SMW win is probably Oganov, which isnt the best resume in the world at SMW.
Dirrell was well matched on the way up and showed promise, but he didnt capitalise on that promise.

Froch is a slow limited SMW with a low workrate yet was able to get to Dirrell
