Both aren't particularly exceptional...which makes for a good fight IMO..neither has particularly good defensive nous, so I think he won't have a particularly boring one.

I don't mind either guy...I'll be rooting for Lee but my head is picking Chavez.

    Odds:

    Andy Lee +310
    Chavez Jr. -355

Anyone who thinks Lee is going to win needs to get their head checked. The fight is in Texas and Bob Arum is the promoter. Lee isn't going to win unless he knocks Chavez Jr. out and that's not going to happen.

    Lee has a fair chance...

It would be great to see Chavez Jr. knocked unconscious though.

Chavez's greatest asset is his size and Andy is already used to dealing with bigger guys from sparring. Lee will outclass Chavez and either win a clear decision or by stoppage. Steward knows Chavez's only chance is to smoother Lee and grind out a decision and is preparring Lee accordingly using guys like Edwin Rodriguez and Don George to mimic Chavez.

Lee will need to put Chavez down for a 20 count to win this fight. Guna be a Robbery....

I think Lee does well early, but Chavez eventually drags him into his fight and pulls out the UD. Chavez isn't a huge puncher so I see Lee seeing the final bell or maybe a championship round stoppage.

without steward lee would have little chance. if the fight is close hes going to need a kd to win on the cards. i like lees chances here and would in no way be paying -350 for chavez. thats very close to what he was against zbik.

    Sergio would wreck Lee.

Sergio has struggled with guys that were less talented than Lee.
Martinez has been extraordinarily overrated since his KO of Paul Williams. Lee would give Martinez one hell of a fight.

Doesn't Pavlik at MW rehydrate to 180 as well? Look how Martinez handled him.
And even if Chavez likes to pressure more than Pavlik does, Martinez doesn't get suckered into fights. It's Chavez that going to be missing all night with his 180 pounds tiring him out, not the other way around.

chavez is going to feel pain like he has never felt before when Lee beats him like his daddy used too!! i can see junior quitting on his stool after 10 rounds of punishment
