Eubank Jr had injured his right hand in sparring pre-fight. He fought a tough ex-MMA guy with one hand for 6 rounds & survived a few sticky moments to win 58-56.

I was impressed at how someone so inexperienced dealt with such a difficult situation.

The thread-starter appears to be a bit of a mong with an agenda & nothing worthwhile to say.

C'mon mate your clearly on a wind up or just have a hate for Eubank whch make's a poster unrationale and unable to debate effectively.

If you seriously think you can judge a fighter on 2 perfromances then there's clearly something wrong with you.

Give me Eubank's purse for that fight and I'd step in the ring with a prime Mike Tyson.

Benn? Please. All huff, little puff at a decent level.

Eubank Sr was a coward. Or maybe he's a charlatan that knew how utterly limited he actually was and knew he couldn't deal with a stream of semi-competent fighters - so talked a lot of crap to compensate.

I tend to think he's both.

I like your username, but I can't help feeling it should be A Pathetic Leader.

Don't write a fighter off after two fights.

"You know that Bernard Hopkins, he's going ****ing nowhere, he got beat by a lad who made his debut then didn't fight 7 years, how **** is he going to turn out!"

Can't right Eubank Jr off, he clearly is talented but is still really green.

I would have preferred Jr to go under the radar early in his pro career, but with a name like that it's impossible.

He needs to keep fighting the level of opposition he has so far for the next 12 months, there's no rush, he had a short amateur career, give him time.

Technically he is skillful but does not seem to possess a KO punch.I cannot see him going all the way.
He is a diet version of his dad.

born with a spoon up his arse (not his fault) therefore he will not have the hunger needed to reach the top IMO... although a canny promoter may try and turn him into something akin to a British version of the cash cow that is chavez junior...

Couldn't deal with whom exactly? Eubank was a warrior, as for semi-competent fighters, are you talking about Roy Jones JnR/Mike McCallum/James Toney/ all as 'semi-competent'.

You've obviously got some sort of agenda, you're in no fit state to calling anyone who laces up the gloves and gets into the ring a coward when you're sat on here posting absolute nonsense.

Just for the record Eubank SnR didn't get his first TKO until his sixth fight, against journeymen, you're there to learn the trade. He might not have one punch knockout power, but he's been put in with a higher calibre of journeymen, instead of eastern european bums who go down after the first shot. Jason Ball is decent, and Harry Matthews showed him a few tricks and has never been stopped.
