Everyone's entitled to an opinion. Some root for the underdog, some apreciate Froch's heart, some like the trash talking and some just hate bald people . In sports, there's never going to be a consensus about anything. Never ever. Thats why its so fun.

Froch has said a fair bit that Bute is over rated and hasnt faced anyone (which is true to an extent) this could easily be Butes coming out party a decsion or KO will do wonder for his career.

It all comes down to who implements thier game plan better - Froch is always slower of hand and foot than the other guy and hes always open to be hit, Does Bute really hit hard enuff to stop Carl or at least enuff to get his attention - probably.

Will he win a decision in Nottingham - only if he puts on a clinc which i cant see him doing.

If Froch can get Bute back pedling and out of his game plan - he wins - ive just got a bad feeling about this one and think Bute might win it - the first Andrare fight give me hope tho - Froch is chin and stamina are great and he might have to forget about boxing the guy and just fight him - mug him and see where it leads

They were better known quantities at SMW, that was my point. But granted, the shine of the belt does mean for a lot when you're on TV.

Remember, when Froch fought Pascal, they were both prospects, not even contenders, strange as it might seem now. Andrade and Bika were both serious, proven contenders. So Froch won the belt by beating a prospect.

    :good

The fact is they didn't do that. Bute had been IBF Champ for ages... a lot longer than Froch was WBC Champ. And they left him out. Left the WBO Champ out too.

    ...since we're talking facts.:good

Froch has been in too many battles now, his decline has been accelerated for it, I suspect. Hes past his prime now, whatever gain he has had in skill level and ring craft since the Super Six, its not enough.

It must be for spurious reasons. If you're crazy about boxing and don't have a bias towards any fighter and just want the best to fight the best, I think you're bound to want Bute to win this one, especially given the history.

Not really that hyped about this one, tbh. Used to be very hyped about this fight in 2007-2010.

Now I'm hyped about the Bute vs. Ward fight. :D

Big fan of Froch, his boxing records (win or lose) put a lot of other boxers to shame. He has a go anywhere attitude and fights with the heart of a lion.

Been critical of Bute but then Ward said he thought Froch was second best in the division and Bute had to beat someone of note and a few weeks later this fight was signed - and for that he deserves a lot of credit.

Can't call it as I really have no idea how good Bute is, but you know this fight will tell us and for that reason am really looking forward to Saturday.

Since before Bute took the IBF belt from Berrio. I think Froch is the only guy Bute was really pissed off about. He once said... think it was before the Johnson fight.. he said "his time will come and I'll shut that moth of his once and forever."

I'd like to see Froch win after all he's done, and I think he'll ask questions of Buté which haven't been asked. Having said that I think Buté has the goods. Much more interesting fight than Ward-Froch imo.

Buté hits hard. Froch is hit cleanly a lot but has a great chin. Froch is very good at wearing people out, and won the last 2 vs Ward (possibly the only rds he did win) and can visibly tire people out Buté has also shown he can be worn out in the past vs. Andrade. Anyway Froch struggles with clean boxers, and with Buté's power, maybe he can finish Froch off or scare him from fighting his normal fight (like he did vs. Johnson). Other than Froch wearing Bute out and stopping him, I can only see a LB KO or UD.
