catch of 171 or 172 would be perfect

what i dont get is if ward wins he doesnt get the 175 title, if he wins he may consider moving up meaning he would have to beat Dawson again or is there no indication from Ward about moving up in weight

i just hope the winner goes on to another big fight hopefully if Ward wins its on to Bute if Dawson wins or hell if he loses its on to pascal/cloud

A win for Dawson at 168 would make him one of the biggest G's in boxing and secure his place as a top 10 fighter

A win for Ward is great BUT he aint nothing much until he fights Bute at 168 for a unification

They should do like Jones did back in the 90's.

Weigh in for the 168 lb title. Come back an hour later after drinking some water and weigh in for the 175 lb title.

From Wards perspective he is doing the right thing. Better a win over a Dawson at 168 than a loss against him at 175. And he cant waith for Bute either, because he will most likely fight Kessler if he gets by Froch. The one to blame here is Dawson, who AT LEAST should have dragged up Ward to catchweight :verysad

Hey, mate, read again. If you still read "Bute's quote about Ward" instead of "Ward's quote about Bute", well, get back to school. :good

I think a win for Ward over Dawson, is bigger than a win over Bute. Bute is the "other guy" at 168. Dawson is "the guy" at 175.

They should do it for both weights!:thumbsup

Why are you bringing up Bute in a Ward\Dawson thread???:rofl:rofl:rofl Gotta love ESB logic.

Who gives a damn about the other quotes...I'm talking about the fact that you've been proven wrong and you're trying to change your pathetic arguement into something totally different!

    Ward will beat them all.

This guy has future ATG written all over him.

California?! Well that's Ward's backyard, surprise surprise. I really wanted this to be in NYC so Ward-Bute can happen there Dec/Jan.

    I like that.

I think Bute is by far the more dangerous opponent though. Dawson is just so damn uninspiring to watch.

I agree but its a personal thing for me :) Especially since the Dawson fight will be at 168 rather than 175, Ward will be more comfortable for the fight.

Bute vs Ward will be the decided as to who is the best at 168

Dawson calling Ward at 168 means nothing until his promoter agrees to that plan. Exactly like Ward's promoter didn't agree with Ward wanting to fight Bute after the super 6.

Dawson's promoter did a really bad job in this negociation.

And your point is?? When you get through...Ward didnt force Dawson to come down to 168...Dawson issued the challenge and Ward accepted...sounds to me that you're bitter because Ward is fighting Dawson instead of Bute...This is by far a tougher matchup than Bute.
