I think Marquez likely wins, but he might need to once again show his recuperative powers and fighting heart after getting dropped or hurt by The Prince.

Absolute stylistic kryptonite for Naz.If I had to pick a current opponent who would fight a young Naz tomorrow,Marquez would be 1 or 2.

Sounds like people are underrating Barrera in here with this "if Barrera can do it well then obviously so can Marquez"

Not at all.At least in my case.It's just that Marquez has always fought the way Barrera eventually fought.The clever,crafty counterpunching style that was so wrong for Naz comes even more naturally to Marquez.

 

I can see the comparison between the two, and why people would say the above.

However, IMO, I'd say Marquez would be more likely to try exchange with Hamed at times in comparison to Barrera that night. Hamed may have a chance to force Marquez to fight him, and in that scenario, Hameds power could surprise anyone. Marquez has unbelievable recovery, he has displayed many a time. But on the other hand, Hamed had unbelievable power...in turn, anything can happen in boxing. :conf

 

i love JMM and he's my favourite current fighter but

NAZ at his best takes him out, and he'd also beat Pac at 126.

Hamed is underrated bigtime on here, i dunno maybe him being a mix of him bein British/Muslim/Elite/Unique and Cocky with it.

A lot of bitter yanks don't like him, maybe cos they haven't got a showman like that.
