... You should never be trying that move in the ring. It's not proper anyway. You should never pull your head straight back like that. Bring it to the side and shoot the right hand over the jab. It's safer and you'll keep better balance afterwards. :good

He's actually right. It's too difficult for someone who isn't so athletic and skilled to pull off.

 

I've tried the pull counter right hand a million times over the years during sparring, and I've literally landed it never.

I think I landed it twice in my last bout, but turns out it was just a straight right.

But doesn't mean that it's incorrect at all. It is taught in gyms. Just means that most people can pull it off, and I agree that they can't. It's a very difficult move.

 

Of course I'm right. You won't find a trainer who'll teach you that. It isn't proper and it's dangerous. There's also a way to do it that's easier and more effective.

It's a pretty little move, looks cool, but it's not something anybody should be emulating.
