Rocky Marciano was only active for a little over 7 years.

    Davey Moore....both of them..
Although the original did have 68 fights, he only boxed ten years before being killed in the ring defending his title against Sugar Ramos.
The second, despite the crushing loss to Duran, won a world championship which he defended 3 times before losing it to Duran. He even managed a win over Benitez after losing the title. Not bad for only having 23 fights in his career.
Ironic in a way that both men died at nearly the same young age (30 and 29)

Sylvester "Bunk" Kelly. Only had a handful of fights, no one ever saw him in person, and he still gets talked about as a potential great 70's heavyweight.

I'd vote for Leo Randolph, Jamal Hinton, and David Reid as well....

I see Bowe hasn't been mentioned. Surely a great example.

He done a lot in 7 years and made a load of money. Ultimately a dissapointment but he was successful.
