Guy threw wide ass punches and had 0 defense.people need to face it these old school fighters are extremely overrated......it's like saying Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest NBA player of all time cause he only played with players under 6'9.times change

So you're saying that 147 lb fighters are now taller than back in the day?

I'm pretty sure SRR is still bigger than Floyd.

no im saying Floyd is better than SRR his punches are sharper and his defense is much tighter and perfect for his wide punches

It's one thing to say Floyd is better than SRR and would beat him (a stretch but not totally crazy) but you said Floyd would DOMINATE him. Come on son, put down the crack pipe, ain't nobody dominating SRR.

SRR in this era would not even be top 10 p4p hell Andre Berto would embarrass his ass

When has Floyd fought a taller, counterpuncher, with speed, KO power in both hands, an excellent jab, and great defense?

****, Floyd hasn't even fought a tall, slick opponent, with a good jab in his entire career.

SRR is a nightmare for Floyd.

It's the worst possible matchup that can be made.

Don't let anyone fool you into thinking SRR can't fight you on the inside. If you stay against the ropes against SRR, it's suicide.

Those uppercuts he throws are his best punches and knocked out MANY MANY MANY men.

Floyd would not be able to survive. You're signficantly overestimating Floyd's abilities.

Let's at least see him in with a fighter that meets some of those descriptions.

Hell, Martinez meets some of those characteristics, he's old as hell, and he'll fight Floyd for $10, yet Floyd still won't fight him.

So what are you basing your opinion from?

You know I HALF agree. I think the conditioning and expertise of trainers/etc is a lot more advanced now than then, but I don't know how far that goes in whether or not the now's can beat the then's.. Saying that I think some can. I reckon Vitali Klitschko would give any ATG Heavyweights of the past a run for their money and still be in the top 5-10. Same with Mayweather.
