But Cotto could ask Arum if he really wants a rematch @147.. During that time, their are both on top rank promotions and that would sell great amount of PPVs.. Imagine the action on the first fight, I'm sure everyone would like to see it again.. For that, I can't see Bob Arum getting in the way.. He'll book that fight, and Cotto could have redeemed himself (I really doubt it).. :deal

    You've just been exposed.

Your own words here, endorsing a catchweight.

You are one big HYPOCRITE. :rofl

I don't get why people find this difficult to understand.

Cotto has issues against aggressive fighters with power, add speed to it(which Pacquiao has) and it's doom for Cotto. Pacquiao's style is WRONG for Cotto, he would overpower him yet again and force him on the defensive.

    Good point.. :good

The reason why he looked good against Mayweather is because Mayweather is a defensive fighter.. Of course Cotto showcased his offensive skills.. :deal
Its just that, Floyd's defense won the battle..

Pacquioa-Cotto I was offense against offense.. Pacquioa just overwhelmed him that's why he looked bad.. :smoke

he only lasted that long because he was running. if he did not, i doubt he would have seen 12th round.

pac was countering cotto's bread and butter, the left lead or jab or hook, by having the faster right hand. pac throws 3-5 punches for every 1 of cottos.thrre is a reason why cotto was shifting from orthodox to :)southpaw several times in the fight. his power hand, the left, is not fast enough.

it is all style that is wrong.

in a way, he nullified any other offensive weapon cotto has. you really don't expect much right from cotto.

:happyI can no less agree with you, bro! People, particularly Mayweather fans, just sing a different tune when they are proven wrong by Pacquiao.

I think the main difference is Cotto would actually have a size advantage and a better trainer to use it more effectively. I personally think does two factor would make a difference, but it's still hard not to pick Pacquiao after having the image of the first fight in our minds.

I'm not saying Cotto was drained at 145lbs, I'm just saying he would be bigger, stronger and more energetic at 154lbs, although maybe a bit slower. Having a real corner also helps, although it seems to me Diaz would be better off as a conditioning coach and having Emmanuel back as head trainer would be more beneficial for Miguel. Highly unlikely to happen though...
