Jab-Whitaker A++++++ jab Roy's was solid when he used it, but it was never that good.

    Hook-Roy easily. Faster and stronger.

Cross- Roy. Faster and stronger. Could throw it upstairs and to the body.

Upper Body movement- Whitaker. Roy used his feet more than his upper body to avoid shots. Still close though.

Angles Roy. Could punch from anywhere and was always dangerous.

Ring Generalship- Tie. Two of the best at it.

Countering- Roy's timing is jsut too good. No punch was safe when you threw it.

    Power-Jones

    Chin- Tie

@southpawjab, in what world could you argue that Pea and Roy are equal in chin? It baffles me so completely ... the one thing that Pea proved way past his prime was that despite the coke issues, his chin was much more than solid. p4p, I'd much rather be hit by Tarver and Johnson than hit by Tito.

Sorry for not breaking it down, but for me it's Whitaker. Jones was near superhuman at times athletically, but Pea was the more skilled, if not as outright freakish as Jones.

When their physical advantages were taken away, it was Pea who performed better.
