Wait a second did you just compare Jake Lamotta to Arturo Gatti ?:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl You really don't know **** about boxing
Ortiz outweighed Floyd by 15.Baldo had 17 pounds on him.Margo had 17 on Manny and domination happened all 3 times
Ray Robinson is a 5'11, big welter, spent much of his career at middleweight, and he's one of the most skilled / best boxers to ever live. Floyd could barely deal with an over the hill Cotto, Jose Luis Castillo, and a shot Oscar. GTFO
I mentioned him you ****ing idiot because you dont know what your talking about. Your ranting about "the fighters back then were not near todays talent level" Im not even gonna talk about Robinson again because its stupid and your either slow or trolling. LEARN TO OPEN YOUR EYES AN WATCH FILM. Freddie steele makes sergio look like ****. This is your currrent undisputed middleweight champ :rofl
An internet tough guy :scaredas: Buddy, I did expect Mayweather to put a high guard up. I also did a thread about what Cotto should do, and nailed that one pretty much on the head. Search my thread history. Some you get right, some you get wrong. It's the beauty of Boxing. I've taught kids how to Box, I've Boxed myself but yeah; I know sod all You could be a dear and type another cute reply with lots of lovely little swear words, or you could pull your finger out your arse and post something constructive. I really don't care
The same Ortiz that got the **** beat outta him by Maidana? Floyd had to sucker punch him to win. I ain't ever heard of Ray sucker punchin Lamotta. You don't know **** about boxing.
Ok , what's your point? Is Floyd Lamotta? Styles make fights. And Robinson wasn't exactly in his prime fighting at middleweight. There is no reason to pick Floyd over Robinson, he holds no advantages, and Robinson is all wrong for him. Too big, tall, quick, powerful, and skilled , bad combo for Floyd.
Your the one that sounds angry making this **** poor ******ed thread. Have a Jack johnson avatar an dissing on greats of the past that actually look better on film then today, you dont know how to watch old film. You know where Tyson learned his craft son? You know where James Toney learned his craft son? By watching the film of these guys all day. Walcott was slicker than any fighter on todays scene by a hundred miles.
I honestly don't think he was faster pal. Maybe shot for shot, but when it came to combination punching then Leonard is out infront. You need to punch in combos to get through to Mayweather in my opinion. Without going into alot of detail, as I'm tired and have Froch vs Bute to travel too hey) : I think Robinson would be more likely to play chess with Mayweather than SRL would. A slower pace would allow Mayweather to grab a better foothold in the fight. Nobody can deny that Mayweather has the mental capacity to compete with Robinson. The slower fight would allow Mayweather to have moments. Leonard seems far more likely to seize the initative. Watch how he broke down the defence of Mayweather Senior. (I realise how different father and son are.) He could use his brain whilst fighting at 200 miles an hour. This makes him a huge H2H problem for Floyd Mayweather.
I doubt you've ever been in a Boxing gym :rofl Much easier to sit in your computer chair isn't it mate. :tired
