You say you have no problem with the Williams fight, then you name all the problems you have with the fight. You say you don't want him fighting guys who recently lost, but then you advocate him fighting Kirkland, Angulo and Lara. Kirkland was knocked out by Ishida and was on his way to losing to Molina before getting bailed out. Angulo's last fight was a lopsided loss to Kikland. Lara recently drew with Molina, and many people thought he lost. So I'm not sure what you're asking for here.

He's really young, having fought past prime versions of Mosley, Cintron and Baldomir was alright at this stage. Williams is a big step up in my opinion. He's a nightmare to fight even tough he was better 4 years ago. A tall southpaw with a high work rate is hard to win against on the scorecard. Say what you want about the guy, but the way Paul fight is a pleasing one to the judge's eye. Williams is better than Kirkland, Bundrage and Mundine. Not sure about Martirosyan who looked really good the few times I've seen him. Lara would beat Canelo in my opinion.

Every thread this kids creates never have an ounce of logic in them. He uses an argument he thinks is incorrect, people criticism pac for taking fights against fighters coming off a loss for example, to prove his point? That makes no sense whatsoever and he just sounds like he's whining.

GBP have been burned in the past. I don't think Maidana had anyone thinking he was going to beat "the next Golden Boy" yet he made him quit. Kirkland just got bailed out (even though I think Molina is a dirty fighter, but thats beside the point) Morales was much more competitive against Maidana then anyone predicted, he was probably expected to add to Maidana's highlite reel etc etc.

Just shows you that anyone is a live opponent on any given night.

the only bigger step ups then Williams is Lara and Cotto....possibly Trout but we don't know enough about how he fairs against good level opposition yet so as of right now Canelo's fighting the 3rd most difficult opponent he could possibly fight and desrves full credit if he wins. Kirklands a bum, I don't wanna hear about Kirkland...Williams just whupped Kirklands daddy and then Kirkland just lost nearly every round to Molina.

Williams is a nightmare stylistically for Canelo and Canelo is not a southpaw or slick....Williams has always impressed vs orthodox fighters.

This is a very good fight a step in the right direction and up, after this he can't fight another cab driver or WWII veteran, unless of course if he lose...

I really dont get this thread. Ok he said he got no problem with alvarez fighting williams but yet he's bashing oscar cause he's fighting williams after easily beat up a 40 year old mosley? Ok again you got no problem with this fight correct? But you have a problem of the alvarez choose to fight williams? Are you soo bored that you dont know what the hell you talking about?
