British stoppage but fair play to Selby for bringing it. Would have liked to have seen Selby dismantle this guy with body shots and get more rounds in.
Selby being very smart IMHO. Being able to beat the Euro champ doesn't always make you the best in Europe.
This, Miskirtchian is the euro champ, he really is quite basic, Selby would do a number on him IMO, Truscott beat him a few years back.
Theres a few good fighters at European level beyond the Belgian waffle, but nothing extraordinary. Evensen is floating about, Yefimovich is a solid fighter ofcourse. But I think they ought to worry about Selby rather than the reverse.
Arnie knows the deal! :deal I think it's ok heading for European title, i just like a variation in opponents sometimes fighters defend European title 3-4 times cos moneys good but they could do with a different type style and setting. Important Selby fights different styles and in different places. Kid's gonna win a world title IMO.
Should fight the Belgian and try to defend against Evensen. Norweigan midget is absolutely made for Lee. Short, aggressive, easy to hit, had a back and forth scrap with Casey. Lee should be able to keep his range, counter him, break him down and win a competitive decision at the least and earn a decent scalp. Plus he's featherfisted so the only real chance is that he somehow outworks Lee which isn't a disaster.
With the wrong promoter, Frank will get him fights he can win and as long as Selby delivers he will get a title shot, but will he be properly prepared for that world title fight, probably not.
