    Thompson doubles his right jab and clobbers down at Godfrey with his left. Godfrey backs up and holds his arms out at length, trying to pitchfork Thompson off. Heavy blows by Thompson moving in, but mostly hitting Godfrey on the back. Jabs landing for Thompson from outside. Godfrey steps back and lands a quick jab to the mouth and Thompson wags his tongue and grunts at him.

    Maybe im wrong but it seems like Godfrey has got him timed or is about to


    very defensive first, Thompsons fundamentals look bad and is open

    Godfrey prob not the guy to expose it

    get the feeling Thompson wins ugly based on Godfrey in activity

    Thompson chops at Godfrey with the right jab from outside. Godfrey is ducking below the waist, circling wide and trying to drop out of the way of Thompson's jabs. Godfrey tries to counter the jab with a lunging straight right with his feet set, and they both miss. Thompson waves his arms in front, and feigns with but doesn't throw his jab. Very timid finish to a round that never really got out of second gear.

    Godfrey is rocking-chairing his way slowly around the ring as Thompson steps with him but is hesitant to punch. 1-2 up top, and some body shots by Godfrey. Thompson leans over, resting his his right arm on his hip and swaying back and forth slowly. Godfrey throws a 1-2 and Thompson chops back at him with a left. Thompson then sneers at him "That comes back at you every time :tong". Talking a lot of trash for a guy who threw single digit punches and is losing a round.
