...and Carl Froch just might be the man that shatters them!!!!:yep Bute isn't gonna have his buddy Marlon Wright to rescue him THIS time!!!:-( Could it be canvas-nap time for Bute????
I think you're on to something here hippie. Bute is one of the most overrated boxers in the game. He is grossly overrated at that, and is unproven at the top level. I believe he will succumb to the physical and mental pressure put forth by Froch prior to the start of the championship rounds. Carl Froch TKO8 :smoke
The only thing that kept Bute from getting knocked out was his obviously-on-the-take referee friend Marlon Wright, who practically lifted a semi-conscious Bute off the canvas. Like I said, Marlon won't be there to rescue Bute this time!! His PROVEN fragile chin is gonna get exposed for the GLASS JAW it almost certainly is!
I believe you might be right professor .....those are some shaky whiskers and I do believe if Froch has his confidence still....he will pull this out.....FROCH KO11
Holy **** - and that was with head gear on!!!! That chin may be even shakier than I imagined. I am more confident than ever that Bute is canvas-bound this weekend! In fact, I would not be surprised if it happens early either
Every time I pick a winner in this one I read some new comment and I change my mind. I'm not betting finally I haven't seen enough of Bute:verysad
Carl Froch actually brought this up 2 weeks ago on OTR. Here's what The Cobra had to say: On how he would rate Lucian Bute amongst the other top opponents he has faced in his career: Its difficult to do that, because I thought about this. Somebody asked me a similar question the other day, and because hes not fought at that top, top level. The Johnson fight doesnt really count, and the Brian Magee fight dont count either because Brian Magee is well past his best. Hes had a couple of good ones of late, but really hes well past his best. Its hard to judge. Its hard to judge a level of opposition based on just what you see, especially when theyre fighting low level opposition. You know Lucian Bute might be a great, he might be an all time great, and he might be up there pound-for-pound, but at the minute there is nothing that indicates or proves that he is. You know I fought Mikkel Kessler whos been in the ring with the likes of Joe Calzaghe and top level fighters like that; and Andre Ward is now being considered pound-for-pound one of the top five; and Andre Dirrell, you know theyre both Olympic Medalists; Arthur Abraham was a knockout puncher and had beaten everybody, and I just got a flawless victory over him; Jermain Taylor was undisputed middleweight champ. He just beat Jeff Lacy and then he fought me on a high. He felt confident he was going to take my belt, and that was a good fight and one that I finished emphatically and dramatically at the end. So you could look at me and say hes a good fighter because of this, this, and this. But when you look at Bute you can say hes a decent fighter, but in all honesty who has he beaten and what has he done? He got knocked out as an amateur quite bad. I know that was a long time ago by Golovkin, but he got knocked out as an amateur! You should not really be getting knocked out by amateurs to be honest. If you got a good chin, with the head guards and the gloves, you dont really get that badly hurt and he was knocked out cold. And lets not forget the Librado Andrade fight! Now I know he stopped him to the body in the rematch, but you only got to look at that fight and really and truly Lucian Bute lost that fight by knockout stoppage late. He was saved by the referee in the dying seconds as far as Im concerned, because he was badly gone. So you could count that fight as a loss. Its hard to assess him and say hes this good, but were certainly going to find out, arent we, how good he is on May 26 because hes in Nottingham and hes facing Carl Froch, The Cobra, whos on the comeback trail so Im very dangerous and Im very hungry. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=32006&more=1
Yes we will. And I'm betting we hear about poor Bute's foot problems. He may even pull a David Haye and take his shoe off. :smoke
Didn't seem like that weak chin helped him much either. It's not gonna help him much tomorrow too! Look for Bute to hit the canvas early and often!!
