I think you're selling Bradley a little short. He's far more versatile than Hatton was, and beyond that, he is far more dedicated to his craft. What you say might will play out. I can certainly see Pacquiao blasting Bradley away early, but not necessarily because of terrible technique. :smoke
Froch looked like **** against Ward, like a deer stunned in headlights Bute is gonna spark this kant out Looking forward to bumping this thread
Hes got an awkward style, but somehow he always manages to have some success, and that is having success whilst far behind in speed to most of the fighters he fought on championship level. What does that tell you? He always comes prepared and hes got a strong mind like few. Gotta respect that.
Andre Ward said "Bute tries to box, but his footwork is rehearsed, not natural": [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hJljyQAL7c[/ame]
That's hardly fair at all! Froch has fought, in consecutive fights: Jean Pascal Jermain Taylor Andre Dirrell Mikkel Kessler Arthur Abaraham Glen Johnson Andre Ward And now he's ****ing fighting Bute! Froch is at his weakest when his opponent can successfully and consistently control the range. To date, Ward is the only one who has mastered that against The Cobra, but Ward is a bad-ass when it comes to dictating the distance. Bute is decent when he controls things from the outside, and I DO think Bute will have some success in spots when it comes to outboxing Froch at range behind his jab, especially early in the contest. But Bute's going to be forced to FIGHT at points, and this is where I believe Froch will excel. :smoke
Yes because Bute has got faster hands and just like Andre Ward he is going to outbox Froch by a wide margin.
He's the personification of an overachiever in boxing today. But beyond that, he's also better than people realize. He can box, he can fight, and he's smarter than given credit for. Froch knows how to fight! :smoke
Faster hands alone is not the reason Ward beat Froch. It also had a lot to do with ring IQ, technique, footwork, and over all body movement. Bute might be a bit faster than Froch, but he's not as quick as Ward, and he definitely doesn't have Ward's ring IQ. :smoke
Bradley is much better than you think. You don't outpoint guys like Lamont Peterson, Devon Alexander and Kendall Holt doing what you described above. Bradley is gonna play defense just like Morales did in his first fight with Pacman, and he already said he's gonna back his man up when he can. 33-year-old Pacquiao is just Bob Arum's latest straw dog. The younger Bradley is about to become Top Rank's new posterboy.
I'm not seeing how any reasonable individual could think you "fixed" anything I wrote. Dirrell clearly did NOT master the range against Froch the way Ward did, and the main reason for that is Ward has a much better ring IQ all around. :smoke
No he isn't. I think a nailed Bradley on the head. Well maybe a little harsh with the Hatton comparison. Bradley is about average at best defensively and wins with a high workrate. You don't need amazing technique when you work that much. Kinda reminds me of Pacquiao. And he's going to play defense and still back his man up when he can? Which is it? If you think Bradley can be defensive "like" Morales you need to put the pipe down.
