Despite the fact he lost me all my v-cash (rendering me an absolute ****ing disgrace) he finally did step up and left his comfort zone to take a tough fight away from home.

I really don't know where he goes from here but he came back from his KO loss to Andrade pretty well so I hope he can continue fighting at the top level and hopefully this isn't the end of him.

Yes. He should get credit for that. Perhaps the same would happen to Ward if he dared travel.

Either way he stood way o close to Froch. He has faster foot speed but though that he could stand close to Carl and use his shoulder role and so on as defense. Completely inadequate. He is also no infighter. He needs to pot shoot Carl. Stay away .. and pick his shots.

He does ha a shaky chin and Carl will always stop him if he decides to trade or stand where Calr can get to him.

Poor tactics by Bute. He fought Froch's fight. Fire the staff, hire another one quickly, and start preparing the remach with Froch. Huge dissapointment from Bute.

Good thread. His willingness to travel and ignore Showtime to make this fight happen in addition to his gentlemanly conduct following the fight has deserves credit.

I've loads of respect for Bute now. Had issues with him hiding out in Montreal taking on B/C level boxers. He was the champ. He didn't have to go to England and fight a top boxer, but he did.

I feel bad for Bute himself. On the plus side, his horrible arrogant fan base might have a bit if humility now. The pedestal they put him on despite him not beating a world champion was ridiculous.

The humility his trainer showed was good too.

    Bute has earned my respect.

Can't see him fighting top level without getting hurt again.

Bute looked scared and frozen after the first big right from Froch.

Respect for finally trying to be the best though!

So you're saying Froch could dominate and stop Ward if they fought in Nottingham? I doubt it. Dirrell went to Nottingham and lost a close decision to Froch.

    Here here

He at least left his safety zone in his prime to test himself against the best SMWs. He came up very short, but I've tons more respect than had he of stayed at home fighting B level guys..

Yeah, he finally left his home, like Carl has been doing for all these years! I don't think the guy deserves respect for fighting outside his home, he's a professional fighter and should fight wherever he needs to!

Bute was brave tonight, did what he could until he could no more. But he'd better not take the rematch clause and move up to lightheavy.

Needs to rework his style, now he knows he can't stand with his hands down and trade with a top fighter. He has the ability to comeback, most fighters suffer setbacks.

Massive credit to Bute, and even though his fans will catch a lot of **** on here, they were terrific too. I hope Bute can come back for himself and his fans.

Agree. . . I don't think he wants any part of that rematch clause, but this still means **** ALL about his ability to beat anybody else. . . Triangle theories fail time, and time again. . .

MAD PROPS to him for being classy in defeat as well. . .

Still a huge fan of Bute. . . ANd of course, tonight just showed why I'm an equally huge fan of Froch. . . Lol although he still looks like a ******ed Gerrard Butler. . . Face only a mother could love!
