He should look to do it in Vegas because ward is too afraid to fight even in a neutral European country, so no point in arguing that point.

He should insist on it being at 168lb.
He should insist on neutral euro ref
He should insist on same judge makeup of first fight, which was fair.
He should understand that he will have to take the smaller portion of the pie.
He should insist on a standard size ring.......no exceptions.

He should also take a fight in the meantime while ward fights Dawson. The easy choice is Kessler. But FROCH real goal should be to get ward in the ring.

The first fight was no where near competitive. It is as pointless as a Bute/Froch rematch in vegas.

Who cares what a ward fan thinks. FROCH certainly doesn't and shouldn't.

I don't care what your perception is and FROCH shouldn't either. If he did he would not have shown up for this fight.

Froch would probably not beat Ward. Styles make fights. Bute had a great style for him. I honestly believe Froch should move to 175 if he can and make some more history. Dawson would be tough for him, but he did already beat Pascal didn't he?

Well, if he's a warrior then he'll want to be the undisputed master of the division. Irrespective of tonight's result he can't at this moment claim this, so I agree he should try and make the fight.

I don't see much interest in a rematch quite yet. This Bute win is probably the biggest win of Froch's career and does start the ball rolling towards a possible rematch but its too soon.

Froch is going to have to get another significant win or two before there's some real interest in a rematch. Doing it at 175 would help stir up interest or if Ward lost, but if its at 168 again and Ward is still undefeated then Froch is going to have to keep beating top fighters to get most people interested in a rematch.

Nothing he can do to beat Ward at this point, he'd have to learn how to fight on the inside. Ward can beat him on the inside and outside, but he'd have to get some more skill to beat Ward, to be honest. His strength and chin wont give him the victory.

That would be fine, but it would have to be in England.

Agreed. It isn't happening in England so don't waste time on issues you can't win.

But to stupid ward fans, who cares about your perception. There aren't a ton fights out there for ward or FROCH.

This nonsense about FROCH has no chance is just that. Even bute has a chance in a rematch.

So tired of no nothing fans trying to win fights via hypothetical. Ward won the first fight because he executed better. Not because he is unbeatable and the same goes for FROCH over bute.

Fine with me, Ward won by 117-111, With such a huge win he deserves rematch.

    A few random thoughts....

    1) Less than 5% chance Andre goes overseas while he's unbeaten.

    2) I'm glad Ward fans weren't around in decades past because many great rematches the sport had would've been dismissed as pointless. I don't know why fans can't comprehend how a 2nd fight with world class fighters could go differently. Unless Ward's moving up to 175 permanently, Froch is still the next highest rated fighter. A rematch could make sense in the future.

    3) Guys who are usually hometown fighters taking risks and fighting in the other guy's back yard is something we should all be rooting for because we can get more big fights made that way. The more we tear down the visitor when they lose, the more fighters won't want to take that risk. And that means fewer big fights for us.

    4) It's tough to win in the other guys' back yard. Going back to the Super Six tournament and including this fight, the home fighter never lost. Guys who can win on the road against world class opposition deserve the extra credit and probably don't get enough of it.
