First, no disrespect to Andre Ward, as he's clearly a fantastic technician. - but the Ward-Froch fight (plus Karl's previous fight against Johnson, even though he won) had me convinced, along with many others, than Froch was slowing down & showing his age. Clearly, his performance against Bute proves this wrong. - but I remember seeing an interview with Froch the day before his Ward fight. He was walking on the beach with Rachel, when the camera crew came up to them, and he looked HORRIBLE. Deep lines in his face, sunken eyes, and an overall worn-out look. ----- So I'm wondering: Is Ward just so good that he made Froch look slow, or was Karl sick that week, and too classy to say anything about it to the press? If the latter, then it obviously makes you wonder about a Froch-Ward rematch.

honest, ward not beating bute, styles make fights he was smart to let the less skilled, but more aggressive fighter do his dirty work

I think Ward is just a more rounded complete fighter. If they were to rematch, I'd still pick Ward but UD. Carl needs to avenge his Kessler loss.
Good point, although I doubt Carl can change his style much at this point. The main thing might be, if there's a rematch, the confidence Karl likely gained from tonight's win.
Bute has a weak chin that was already exposed by Andrade. He fought absolutely no one who was a top notch world class fighter until Froch. Froch can hit has a chin and balls. He fights and moves like a Mumy what you should now realize is just how damn good Ward is.
It's a stylistic nightmare for Froch. . . That's all. . . I'm still not 100% convinced Ward beats Bute all because Froch blitzkrieged him. . . Others might laugh at me all they want, but I don't care. . I favored Ward (against Bute) before Bute's fight with Froch, and of course I still favor him now, but I bet Bute can at least deal with Ward's style a lot better than Froch. . . I still want to see that fight. . . Ward doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Froch, nor does he have the stamina, and balls/killer instinct Froch has. . . But it all comes down to styles. . . Pardon the hackneyed cliche, but styles make fights - always have, and always will.
He needs to man up and give Dirrell a rematch in some place not know for best for "Robbing Hood". :yep
Yeah, Red made the same point. Bute got blitzed tonight and that isn't something we are likely to see from Ward.
