Froch even exceeded my expectations against Bute! What a tremendous performance!

I thought Froch would mentally beat Bute down, I just never could have possibly imagined it would happen that quickly (and seemingly effortlessly, in all reality).

    What a great ****ing win!

Anyway, after I watched the fight a second time I quickly penned this if anyone is interested:

He was a total beast tonight no doubt. Probably the performance of his life.

    How could it not be?

That's almost like saying "Hopefully Hagler will be remembered for beating Hearns!" ;)

And I'm being serious. This win was that ****ing sensational!

    :thumbsup

To be perfectly honest, that article is sheer hyperbole; unrestrained romanticism; finding nuances where there's only simplicity. Union jack underpants?!

The truth: Froch the same; Bute exposed at this level. Props to Froch, warrior; future hall of famer; but let's at least try and retain our residence on planet earth, intellectually!

    Was it that bad?
    :lol::good

Didn't I effectively say that, though?

Seriously, I think that victory was tremendous any way you slice it. Even people like me who thought the difference in class of opposition and experience would be THE SINGLE most important determining factor in the fight - who the **** saw The Cobra winning in THAT type of fashion?

    Certainly not me.

Although I'm high as a kite right now and feel as if I'm floating around cloud 9, I do still feel as if I'm firmly established in the atmosphere of the appropriate planet.

The Kessler rematch! If it happens, Froch wins it!

Froch can remain King of 168, honestly! Now that Froch eliminated Bute, Ward has no good reason to stay at 68. He should now move up and fight Chad at 75. If he does that, Froch has rematches with Kessler (especially) in even perhaps Dirrell down the line.

He could also mix it up with someone like Adonis Stevenson or Edwin Rodriguez potentially down the line.

There will still be opportunities at 168 for him.

But the only one I care to see right now is the Kessler rematch!

    That's the fight for Carl!

Makes perfect sense to me. Love to see him get a few descent defenses, and attempt to unify.

Carl Froch came mentally prepared to do what he had to do to Bute, and the Cobra knew better then anyone as my co-host pointed out....

Carl Froch: “It could be over very quick because when Bute feels the power and the intensity, and the pressure from me that he’s never been put under before, he may just fall apart!”

And fall a part Bute did.....completely exposed even worse then either of us imagined.....as we have always said...Carl Froch is without a doubt the second best super middleweight in the world!

Certainly not me and I'll be the first to admit it.

Personally I thought that apparent skill would outshine grit and will; it didn't! He proved many (probably most) of us wrong; he deserves all the props in the world. That being said, i remain one of those who refuses to push the overdrive button.
