Froch-Kessler 2 should be next. In Nottingham. Winner gets Ward rematch.

Thread title says it all. No way Bute takes the rematch. Frock and Kessler are very evenly matched. Both want Ward again, seems like a no brainer.

I would respect Kessler that much more if he took the fight with Froch in Nottingham. He's earned it, let's be fair. He's walked the walk, now its time for Kessler to return the favour.

Unlike in the Direll fight, the venue in Nottingham for the Bute fight seemed very fair. Kessler should be able to get a fair decision if he earns it.

And you better believe the vikings will travel for Kessler in larger numbers than Bute. Would be an unbelievable atmosphere.

Why should ward fight the winner of that fight since he easily beat both of them without breaking a sweat?

Because they're the #1 contender and the best fighter in the SMW division next to him.

This would be great. I was thinking of how Froch or Kessler would find a way to strike a compelling rematch with Ward, and this would fit perfectly

Who the **** else is Ward gonna fight after Dawson? The winner of Froch-Kessler 2 would be deserving of another shot at Ward, and Ward would have few other options anyway!

how about move up at light heavyweight? ever thought about that? since bute is not longer one of the best fighters at smw, ward has clearly clean out the smw division. after dawson he should move up.

it doesnt make sense. he easily beat both of them the first time. he'll beat them even easier in the rematch. since bute is no longer a top fighter, ward clean out that division. he should move up.

That's up to him, but those are the two guys who're the number one contender. Slim pickin's.

And Frazier beat Ali with no trouble in the first, and we all saw how the 2nd and 3rd went down. It makes dollars so it makes sense, its up to Ward if he wants to move up but he can't be the king of the division if he won't fight the best they have to offer, whether he's defeated them or not. SMW is hardly a packed division and if they earn their right, a rematch is on the cards. Not every rematch has to be because the fight was close or even competitive. Look at Klitschko's next title defense.

Froch wouldn't sell out wembley, his fan base isn't that big compared to say khan or haye...... he did decent numbers in Nottingham though.

First off ali vs frazier is far far far different then ward vs froch/kessler 1. Everybody talk about ali vs frazier first fight in which is why everybody want to see a rematch because of the heated heat for each other. Not alot of casual fans still dont know who ward/kessler/froch are. Ward facing kessler or froch again is point less and doesnt make sense.
