Froch last night would of beat JC, at times, i thought he was fighting him, from the corner and my eye and full of export, must of been the **** haircut .

Frochs record is on par if not better than JC record

What do you mean 'must'? The question is subjective, there is no definitive answer. Froch has yet to even finish his career. But for the moment, I would put Calzaghe ahead. He was world class for longer, beat a couple of bigger names, and also beat an unbeaten version of a fighter Froch would then go on to lose too.

World class for longer, but boxing the second tier? Froch beat Kessler for me too. Calzaghes biggest win was a very good one, but Frochs continued run against the elite eclipses it. IMO

Ifs. If my sister had bollox she would be my brother. Carl has done it, we sumise Joe would have, therefore, Carls record better:good

Froch's record is better. He has faced everyone at their peak and acquitted himself with honour. Calzaghe did not period. His record is inflated that is why he lacks respect in certain quarters.

No he doesn't have a better record than Calzaghe.

He still has a convincing loss to Ward and a close but clear loss to a worse version of Kessler that Calzaghe beat. That will always go against him when comparing him to Joe.

Respect to Froch though, he is a warrior and he's certainly surpassed Hatton as the better fighter now if he hadn't already.

No doubt about it his resume is better at this stage, i'd like someone to try and convince me otherwise.

Other than Hopkins, Kessler and possibly Lacy who did Joe fight that was worth a damn?

Calzaghe fought Kessler at home ( needless to say ) , Froch fought him in front of a huge partisan crowd. So to compare the 2 fights is not cut and dried. We all can imagine Joe doing will against prime foes abroad, but we have seen Carl do it. The record goes to Joe, the respect to Froch. Anyone think he will fight Manfredo next ? Or a top level opponent ?
