He needs one more career-defining win IMO to be able to have a case for having the better record. If he beat Kessler clearly in a rematch or stepped up to 175 and beat Dawson that would do it. If he could find a way to beat Ward, which i'm not sure he could to be honest, that would definitely put him above Joe with a bit of daylight between them. He's not far off, i'm not saying that Calzaghe's record is significantly better, but at this stage i feel he still has the edge over Froch.
Stop talking ****. Everyone is saying that Froch has the best resume in boxing for the last 20 years. No fighter is doing what Froch is doing. So in reality it has taken something special to topple Calzaghe.
:blood I believe you will get an argument about that, from Messrs: De La Hoya, Hopkins, Marquez, Pacquiao, Barrera, Marquez, Lewis, Holyfield, Mora...
Not really, given that Froch has accomplished more in about 8 fights than Calzaghe did in more than 20. Only Pacquiao in that period is anywhere near Carl in that respect.... even he's had a couple of easy fights, like Mosley and Hatton. There are still fights out there for him too, he's not faced Dawson yet, there might be someone moving up from 160 also. Great time to be a Froch fan.
Avenge the loss against Kessler and Froch is pretty much there IMO. The thing Joe has in his favour is the win over Hopkins. We all know what Hopkins went on to achieve after that loss which gives Joe a lot of credibility. The Bute win for Froch will be looked at in the same light as the Lacy win for Joe I think. Time will tell what happens to Bute.
Hatton and Mosley easy fights? Jeez. On a p4p basis they are clearly better than anyone Froch has beaten, aside from Bute who - according to most on here - is actually **** as it happens, so arguably even he isn't any better.
