He was a protected can. He seems to have the ability, but needed to be brought along instead of hidden in CANada. Oh well. Like Dirrell, another decent talent snuffed out by not being properly cultivated.

Carl was very focused and attacked with vicious combinations. He attacked when Bute missed and attacked harder when Bute landed. Bute's defense was fairly effective against the first one or two shots but fell apart under relentless combination punching and aggression that pushed him against the ropes.

I want to see a rematch because I think Bute simply **** his pants being that he was in the lions den in Frochs home town. It looked intimidating.

    Rematch in Canada.

It's simple and obvious. This is what I have been trying to explain to Bute fans for a while yet was labeled a hater for it. His opponent is a supersix finalist who went 12 rounds with Andre Ward, he wasn't fighting a chump. This was Bute's, by far, biggest fight of his career. A major step-up from fighting guys like Brinkley, Zuniga, Mendy, Andrade and Johnson. I was honestly shocked to see him crumble the way he did but looking back it it's easily understandable. He went from fighting cans to an actual world class opponent, the result is obvious.

You know by calling him a can you're doing Froch any justice for an impeccable performance like that. Bute is a good fighter but he's not in the level of Froch. I wouldn't consider him a can at all and think it's preposterous to even harbor such thoughts unless you're a diehard hater.

"Why did Bute looked so bad?"
I think I have some answers for this questions:
    - Bad training/sparring
    - Bad game plan
    - Fear
    - Lack of resistance to power shots
    - Bad stance
    - Everything was wrong
    - Froch was perfect prepared and motivated
I'm a huge fan of Bute due to my nationality, I'm also big fan of Froch and I always been. I was afraid for Bute in this fight and my instinct was right: Froch's game plan was perfect: combo shots, power, pressure.
Now my only question is: Has the Bute team the balls to take the rematch?
In my opinion the rematch can be competitive and if Bute want to stay at SMW and want to prove that he is a top fighter, is the only choice. The other choice is moving to LHW and fight Pascal for a last payday.
