Still buzzing over Froch's performance saturday. The guy is a thriowback to the days when boxers would take a defeat on the chin and come back and give it another go.
The guy cant be beat in a toe-to-toe battle, not from any of the current crop anyway. He's like Nigel Benn in the way that if you hurt him it makes him mad, makes him more dangerous. He really is one scary f*ker.
I've followed Froch from early on and for all the critisicms about his style ive always thought he had it in him to reach the top.
Fair enough Andre Ward would always beat him, the perfect style to do so but lets face it Ward is a special fighter but even he knew to stay away in the last round.

Im not saying anything new here im sure this is the 900th thread praising Froch but i wanted to get it written down, immensely proud of Carl still a couple of days after the event. Cant praise the guy enough :good

My opinion on Froch hasn't really changed.

    Can't say this for Bute....

(But you have all the reasons to be proud of your man)

War Froch, im really proud of this guy.
Hes by far the best British fighter out there.

I want him to rematch Kessler, he should avoid Ward though, Ward has Frochs number. No shame in that as Ward is establishing himself as a future star anyway (depending on how it goes with Dawson)

I wouldnt mind watching Froch beating the sh*t out of Pavlik

The only problem with Carl is, hes very slow, obviously theres nothing he can do about that, i think thats the only thing that affects him.

Pascal, Direll, Abraham, Kessler, Johnson, Ward, Bute...... you cant hate the guy.
Problem is, theres nowhere for him to go now, i dont think Carl would do too well at LHW to be honest. Him and Cloud would be a decent scrap. Clev would probably outwork him.

I think he'd batter Cleverly personnally but i dont think LHW is viable ,he's by no means a big SMW, Bute looked far bigger than him.

I agree, Kessler 2 is the best option, in Nottingham, preferably at the City Ground.I reckon it could shift maybe 20-25k tickets.

Yes he did and Froch started fighting more of the back foot.

Froch vs Pascal was one hell of a fight ! Both agreed for a rematch afterwards, but I wonder if it will really happen.

Yeah he did but it was controversial to say the least and Froch got better as it got on with his traditional slow start. He seemed to throw that out of the window on saturday. I take your point though.

Would ****ing love that , I worry for Pascal after the old man schooling he received from Bhop though , that can stick in a guys head. Hope not though I really like Pascal and Froch and would love to see that war reprised.

That was what Kessler did. But Kessler is´nt a southpaw.
Bute fought a stupid fight - not trying to avoid puncehes - thinking he could counterpunch Froch.
I really wondered why he did´nt try to exchange blows toe to toe ... but after the fight he told us that he had hoped to knock out Froch with a counterpunch !!!

Kessler did go toe to toe , kind of, but his main weapons for the win were ( what will always cause Carl problems ) quickness and work rate. Yeah he was in front carl all night but it wasnt bang for bang Foreman - Lyle style

The only guy who truly slugfested Carl and almost came out on top was Pascal.

Yeah i agree, Kessler v Froch was only a slugfest in parts. The Pascal fight was fukin immense and i never felt Froch was going to lose.
