Lucian Bute is the best super middleweight in the world

and if you look at the top two gifs there it looks like the ref is trying to slow andrade from getting to a staggering Bute. instead of stepping out of the way he stays in between both fighters!! and it look likes andrade needs to touch the ref and nudge him out of the way with his right hand:yikes

 

I know, it happens when you're the draw but it's annoying to see.

It was when he stops the count to administer and drawn out bollocking to Andrade for not being right in his corner. Unreal atsch

The line offered by Bute fans was 'he was up by 10!'. But that's not the point. There was enough time for the count to be administered and then the fight to continue, but the ref had no intention of allowing that to happen.

Still buzzing from the fight on Saturday. Great night! Because it's completely the opposite of what I was expecting it was thrilling to watch.

I've not really been in the lounge to frequently actually. About time I got back into it I think.

Clearly there wasn't as one of the gifs momentarily has the clock in the corner where you see the time tick down to five before the punch is even landed....

 

Maybe i'm remembering it wrong. But I don't remember the bell ringing until after the count. I will have rewatch when i get home

 

That's because the rules instruct the timekeeper in such circumstances not to ring the bell immediately time is actually up (which would have been approx 2 seconds after Bute went down).

The complication here was that the timekeeper also didn't ring the bell when the IBF rules say he should (when the downed boxer 'rises and his hands clear the floor') but waited until the referee completed the full count (which is apparantly what local rules would mandate).

So you arguably have the timekeeper following the wrong rulebook, but ultimately no difference to the outcome.

 

And the ref stated just after the fight, that Andrade leaving the corner, was to blame for loosing the fight....!

The ref actually thought he secured the win for Bute................Every boxing fan screamed ROBBERY after the fight, but all the Bute fans told us otherwise, again and again and again............The next fights they bring on the same ref, and "Look what happened in Andrade 2".

This made a lot of fans anti Bute..........................


If Bute, his team and fans had recognized that lost, maybe Bute had done better vs. Froch...............................:think
