ute showed some class and humility in that conference. I can't imagine too many people would be sold on the rematch as it was quite a one sided beating in the end and left little doubt as to who the better fighter is.
If he's getting hurt badly enough from single shots that he can't fight back or defend himself effectively, his chin is an issue. Froch is a solid puncher, but even Jermain Taylor, who's not noted for a great chin was able to take a lot more punishment than Bute managed. And chins don't generally improve much. Bute needs to work on a good bit, but mostly on his base defense if he wants to step back up to the A level guys in the division.
His chin is definitely the issue he tasted the power and went into a shell because he was hurt he was held up by the ropes, about he never went down
That's very mean of you. It's not that the counting is different in Montreal, but that he feels home there. I've always tought it was a mistake in the first place to have your first big fight away. I actually like Bute, but I got the feeling he was overwhelmed in Notthingam. He was like a 4 years old boy lost in the middle of a jungle. He knows that, despite his undeniable skills he posseses, he wasn't really ready for the Froch fight. I guess you can say he was afraid. I felt sorry for him, but that's This content is protected . One ring, two guys, one winner. *real, man vs man, boxing that is.
He was exactly the same when andrade caught up with him so for me what you are saying is bolox cos andrade was b class level. Bute has an ok chin but **** punch resistance, he gets hit and it's like he is out on his feet. The fact that it was early on in the fight and he was in good condition is what kept him on his feet until he slumped in the 5th. Now lets just say they re-match, personally i think he will get battered again. All it will take is one shot to put him on ***** street and his legs are done and froch is a very good finisher. Personally i wouldn't want to see it again due to the fact that bute seems a very decent fella and i wouldn't want to see him broken down like that again.
You don't seem to get it. Dirrell, Kessler, Pascal, Taylor, Abraham etc ALL took those same shots from Froch for the first 6 rounds of their fights and they never got into the same condition as Bute was from single shots. He may not have gone down, but he was troubled by single shots from Froch. This does indicate an issue with punch resistance.
The punch resistance you talk about is teachable. The chin isn't. Team Bute messed up, big time. And might be just enough to end a promising career.
Considering Froch's age and overconfidence, a rematch at the right time and with the right tactics could provide the same outcome of the Andrade II fight. But that's a very big IF.
Big fan here and his chin IS the issue. Well, actually... the way he reacts when he gets buzzed. Ali himself said, if you don't know how to react to the fuzz when buzzed, you're going to panick. Which is what Bute did. Now, would he even be able to react correctly to being buzzed, I doubt it. It's not the first time he gets KOed. In the amateurs, Andrade.. now Froch. Everybody knows now, if they have the chin to stand his power shots, they can walk him down pretty fast. He's always going to be a good boxer. Not so much a fighter.
Sherlock, there's one thing in the world called realism. That some people just don't have it, is another matter. Anyway, the question was retorical.
