Surely Hearn would have said that, post-fight.

that's what I was thinking, it seems a logical fight and 7/4 seems good odds

you'd have to ring ladbrokes to get the rules confirmed but I'd be 99.9% sure they wouldn't pay out until the fighters were in the ring.

Kessler has changed since he fought Froch. Up to the fight he discovered trouble with his sight - and in the fight he missed punches he should´nt miss.
He could´ve retired after defeating Froch. But he decided otherwise - and today, two years after..no double-vision...and an improved boxer. He has matured.
And with all my respect to Froch and the way he handled Bute...I believe that Kessler is at least 10% better today. Froch is exactly the same.
A deciding matter could be home-advantage. Froch may be more aggresive with a massive back-up. But attacking Kessler the way he forced his way to Bute´s jaw could easily end up with Froch getting stopped.
I go for Kessler in the rematch.

  7. Get in the Queue.. lol. I reckon they need somewhere bigger than the Capital FM arena. Everyone who was there saturday night will want to return.. Plus most of those who missed out.

Not sure that it makes much difference but Kessler isn't ranked by the IBF at 168 or 175, Degale & Pavlik are, though for obvious reasons apart from Groves you wouldn't expect any of the others to be listed, Bute obviously still listed as champ until they publish the new ones and will probably remain in the rankings.

Main worries about betting on Kessler though would be that he may well get injured in the lead up and you end up with a late sub or Sauerland decide to have him face the winner of Abraham vs Stielgitz instead, can't see them really fancying the Froch fight as he looks done.

A football stadium would kill the atmosphere though.

How on earth have you deduced this? Kessler was hurt by Alan Green badly in the first round, he may have knocked him out - but that was expected. Glen Johnson who isn't a big puncher managed the same. The signs were worrying regardless of the end result.

Froch had possibly his best performance Saturday night.

How you come to the conclusion Kessler is 'matured' and better than ever and Froch is the same on the basis of evidence is baffling. Froch may well be the same, but that's pretty damn good and good enough to force a close fight in the first (which I scored to Kessler clear) but Kessler clearly isn't even the same fighter he was in that fight, let alone the fighter that fought Calzaghe that was much sharper.

  13. Yea fair point.. MEN? Can they do football stadiums in September/October anyway? It will **** up the pitch?!?

Lets ****ing have it. Make the mother****ing fight happen.

Nottingham, the rematch, revenge or redemption, air the first fight every day for a month leading up to it. It can be huge. Sell out wherever.

Carl shouldn't fight any shitters. He won't get up for it and is the sort to look sloppy and **** against fighters who won't engage. Him and Kessler will be a real dust up and following KEsslers shakey first round, now is the time.

THIS IS THE FIGHT TO MAKE!

Yup i agree there about Frochs improvements, i had their fight a draw, but this time i think Froch will win.
