I know, ****in' unbelievable. I mean, he took some clean shots from Berrio and Miranda who aren't feather fisted and never looked that buzzed. And there goes Lucian getting hit on his gloves and getting dazed... :-(
The guys a genuine winner. 99% of boxers get losses on their record, but to come out and talk like that is exceedingly gracious. Im a fan.
i'm impressed with the man's honesty and dignity in defeat. a lot of 'warriors' could learn a thing or two about class from Lucian. fair play to the man. :thumbsup
So many ALTS around - I don't get it.............??? Who are these people, that make an alias 7 months before posting once, and then posts the rest just after the Bute fight....... (and in the same time, so many Butards a missing in action.....?)
Feel free to check my IP with the site's management or find any other proof you want. Some of us don't join this site to trade insults. I'd rather just read and move on. I find the boxing knowledge of most posters to be lacking, they are just like plastic football fans. Single reason I posted now was because of Bute's beating magnitude. It still boggles the mind 2 days after. Never ever seen this in decades at this level of competition. I didn't think it was possible until it came true before my very eyes. If that was not bound to snuff the lurker in me, what else?!
:deal TBH I didn't give a **** about Bute before all this now I want him to bounce back and prove everyone wrong:bart
Does anyone seriously want Froch to be Lucian Butes comeback fight? Although not many would have suggested Bute was a great comeback opponent for Froch. A lot of people miss that point, this was Froch coming back from a defeat. Hero.
I don't think many want Saturday's Bute in another fight with Froch. But count me in for Bute of Andrade II or even a Bute who has learned his lessons. That is if he is able to learn them and his team and himself capable of rising from the ashes. Doesn't he need to show the world another side of himself even if he loses again to Froch? It's a hard legacy to bear otherwise.
That's the problem with Bute's career. Berrio and Miranda are DECENT punchers, who are slow of hand so they don't catch you unprepared. Froch is a notch higher puncher that is much quicker with his right especially. It's a whole different level of fighter. Keith
"In the third round I surprised him, I hit him good and that's why he admitted afterwards that he could've been one of my many KO's too. But this was not our strategy. I cannot blame the trainer. My plan was to stay in the center of the ring, to box with him. After the third round I thought I can lure him in the corner to hit him with my left on the counter and finish him. But I failed. " Honest rating of Froch Power LHook- 8/10 R(straight) 9/10 UC-6/10 CPing -6/10 Infighting -6/10 Footwork Off- 8/10 Chin - 9/10 overall punch resistance -9/10 recovery- 10/10 Slickness -3/10 Defense- 4/10 Footwork Def- 8/10 Now Bute Power-RHook 6/10 Str L-8/10 UC- 10/10 CPing 7/10 Infighting-5/10 Footwork Off- 9/10 Chin -6/10 PR- 5/10 recovery-4/10 Slickness-8/10 Defense- 7/10 Footwork Def- 6/10 While Carl Froch was fighting a do or die type fight, Bute seemed content to see just how tough he was. Clearly his confidence fell drastically when Carl hurt him in the 3rd. IDK if the haters were 100% correct when they called Bute a hype job or not. But when a guy like Bute goes and fights Carl Froch's fight, in Carl Froch's hometown and gives 70% of himself in the showing while Carl is firing at 110% in do or die mode.........It just makes me think that if Butes a hype he'll be KTFO in rematch. If he's the real deal, and the top dog at SMW, he'll bring Carl to Montreal, fight Lucian Bute's fight and bring the title back home. Call me delusional, I dont give a flying ****. But Im a Bute fan and Im finding the positives out of this performance. He countered beautifully when he tried and his power was there from the start. I'm not of the opinion that Carl blasts him outta there in opening rounds. And it's my opinion that if Froch comes to Canada and tries to bumrush Bute like Butes haterz are saying he would, that Carl would run into the Lhand counter that we were expecting him to do in the UK. Carl fought the perfect fight and made Lucian come to him, miss, than made him pay. And Carl, being a great finisher, saw that Bute was done when the crowd roared and Bute said let's go, then went into his shell. The crowd won;t be discouraging Bute in Montreal, but rather they will be raising his confidence. And in Montreal, in a rematch, it will be Bute who is firing on all cylinders. It will be Bute who is fighting at 110%. It will be Bute who is fighting for his career.:deal
His RIGHT is. Not his footwork, not his combinations. But his money shot, the right, is faster than Berrio and Miranda. Keith
People get hurt from beatings like that. You have no way of knowing that that wasn't the best Bute there could be against that opponent. He showed heart, grit and recovery, as well as being a great sportsman. That can also get you hurt. Wishing Froch on hm again is not being kind. He needs to look elsewhere in hs career.
:---( Froch's left hook is NO WHERE near an 8. If 5 is average, then his left is probably a 3. It's a slap and carries no concussive power at all. His right is about an 8. He landed it cleanly on Ward several times and didn't stun him. Keith
