    It ain't misleading at all.

Dawson's wins over Adamek, Hopkins, and Tarver are far better than anything Bute ever accomplished. Period!

I said before the fight that Ward deserved applause for taking a far tougher challenge in Dawson! Bute was an unproven hype job. The Cobra confirmed this in dramatic fashion.

Bute is NOT a P4P talent! Never was, and sure as **** ain't now.

Dawson, on the other hand, IS a P4P talent.

Most unbiased observers don't have issues seeing this, but your posts and predictions at 168 tend to be humorous and over the top ridiculous, so I usually just assume you're taking the ****.

For all I know, you and Calzaghe are hanging out in the same establishment doing lines of coke as you type some of that nonsense, but it is entertaining for what it is.

    So keep up the laughs!

Thing that gets me about ward is that he passed off the chance to become undisputed at SMW cos he thought bute didn't deserve the shot. He could have picked up a massive payday and all the accolades for beating the ibf champ, whom many fans thought would beat ward. Instead he decides he may fight Dawson since Chad was suggesting he would boil down. Dawson maybe more accomplished than bute but not by much imo. We are talking the same dawson that got taught a lesson or two by pascal?

In hindsight it is easy to say now that Dawson is more of a threat. But before Froch got hold of bute he too was just a risky opponent for ward.

I respect wards skill but will never respect him as a fighter because he will not lay it on the line. Instead his career will be very carefully manufactured, risk assessed etc. He would never come to nottingham to fight froch and the fact that he wouldn't travel for the s6 says this. We will never see him out of his comfort zone and he will probably retire unbeaten after a load of boring ud's.

Never said different, but they are also completely different weight divisions, and some fighters cant operate at different weight divisions.
Look how G Johnson is world class at LHW but at SMW was a journeyman and still is, losing more fights than he has won at the weight.
Consider how you comment on Bute, yet he beat Johnson far easier than Dawson and what SMW pedigree does Dawson have. Oh yeah none of note.

Also Tarver spilt 2 fights with Johnson when you talk of that level and Adamek wasnt a very good LHW, what was Adameks big LHW wins

I believe Ward would UD Bute fairly easy, but on top level it's not always that simple. Bute has looked very good against decent opposition in Johnson, Mirande and Bika. Fighters Froch and Ward struggled with. I think Bute might bounce back, and I would like to see him against Ward. He is still the 4th best SMW in the world, after Ward, Kessler and Froch.

    Well said, Shaunster.

-but I disagree That Bute can't change. Although he's at an age where change is harder, this was his first experience with an A-level fighter, and that HAS to change you. As others have said, it's not his technique (nor chin) that's lacking, it's his ability to deal with this kind of adversity. Now that he's experienced it, he MIGHT be able to change his mental attitude and persevere the next time it happens.

True class in defeat by Bute. He's got the right mindset to come back successfully and I think people are writing him off too soon. He's still a top 5 SMW.

Compare that with Dirrell's comments after the fight: “Bute is a bum!!! He can’t even make it to his corner!!! Welcome to the real world, Bute!!! Welcome to the real world!!”
