  1. 100% HOF LOCK. he was themost feared man in the game for years.
CAREER cut short + respected gentleman.
Really loved watching him fight. Hope to see him Canastota.

I was just thinking that as well. He is one of the few champions/former champions who have defeated everyone they have fought. :good

If Gatti's there then Williams sure as hell deserves to be there. My vote is yes.

The wide scoring in the Martinez fight ruined for him. Because, that wasn't a robbery. it was a close fight that i think martinez edged.

The stupid scoring ruined the night.

That performance plus bating a prime Margarito are gret wins and crimially overrated.

He'd have been favoured to beat Cotto which is why tht fight never happened.

Theres a reason the floyd fight never happened too. His style was a horrible style to fight against.

Unfortunately he was much avoided in his prime at WW and wasn't able to build a significant enough resume. Outside of beating warriors that would take him on, prime Margo and close fight with Sergio Martinez, beating a faded Winky Wright and avenging his loss to Quintana are his next best wins. Not nearly good enough. He wasn't the most technically-gifted fighter and showed us all he could do, so he won't get in on skill or potential. Atleast he can tell his grand kids he was once arguably the most feared man in boxing

    MAYBE

    40-2 record

    Wins over:

    Margarito (Pre Mosley )
Quitana 2 (1st rd knockout and avenging his first loss)
Wright (Though slightly inactive, he beat a great fighter in Winky)
Martinez 1 (One of the best fights of the last decade)

Plus he was willing to fight anyone, anytime

A cpl questionable wins (Cintron & Lara) and not enough big name opponents could be the deciding factor.

I don't think so, but I wish him well. I feel terrible for Paul.
