Yeah good thinking, not many big fights over there so people will go nuts. Better than America where each guys fan base will struggle to get to.
I'm not to sure how true it is but someone posted something about a clause in the contract that if anyone was stopped before the 6th there will be no rematch. :think
Yeah, I think that was determined. :yep Still, knowing Froch, he might want to go to Bute's hometown and embarrass him again just on principle. He seemed really offended by Bute's cocky swagger and the fact that he dared come to Nottingham in the first place.
If I was Froch/Bute I woldn't mind it, let Bute get his **** together and have a rematch over there. Makes financial sense for both and Bute has less options now. Bute was stopped at the right time, would have had his career destroyed like Lacy did otherwise. Anyway you have to respect these two great warriors.
I'd actually be keen on seeing a round robin. Make Kessler vs. Bute to see if Kessler can do even better than Froch...then have the winner rematch Froch with tons of "common opponent" hype behind it.
Bute can pack an 18,000 arena against B level guys too and you'd still have to favour Froch over there.
Might just be me making things up in my head, mate, but I've heard people (not in this thread) talking about how he fainted that eye-injury to get out of the S6 and how he is a robotic B-fighter who fights tomatocans. I agree to some extend, that he has fought some **** opponents, but the likes of Siaca, Mundine, Beyer, Andrade, Calzaghe, Ward and Froch are good fights. To often injuries has set him back. Therefore asking what he has left in the tank is fair, but he's a three-time champ who is a true gentleman. Deserves respect - whether you like him or not.
Froch and Kessler are class to the sport and its a shame that their fights don't get enough coverage opposed to drama queens. Both warriors willing to give it all and when they fight you can be assured it will go the same way as is what happened in the first match. I wish Kessler fights on as long as he wants because those injuries were nagging him though it would be great going out after Froch II because it will be an epic fight win or lose. Real boxing fans appreciate both fighters and theu will fight anyone, anywhere. Very rare trait in boxing and I will be delighted to see them give another great showing which I know they will.
Kessler has an unreal number of haters and nay-sayers on ESB. :verysad People have literally made statements to the effect that he - isn't world class - struggled with Mundine ?) - would have been KTFO in his prime by Edison ****ing Miranda - isn't even close to Calzaghe's best win etc.
Yeah I may have exagerated it a little bit but you can't please evreyone mate, there will always be someone talkin. What I meant was that you can't compare the amount of hate Mikkel gets with what guys like Bute, Froch or even Ward get. :good
Okay i thought it twice and the second fight should be in Britain what about the rubber match in neutral place like in Finland, how about that?:good
He might not be world class - that depends how you look at it. And he did struggle to some extend against Mundine - but that was the conditioning of Kessler. He had two! minor herniated discs two months before the fight. TWO! There is no way Edison Miranda could have beaten Kessler - let alone knocked him down. He is in my opinion the best win of Calzaghe. Closely followed by Chris Eubanks, Bernard Hopkins and because of the dominant fashion: Jeff Lacy.
