Bute desires a Froch Rematch. "I'll give everything for this fight"

He did get KOed with a headgear on by Golovkin years ago, so I'm not sure he's the kind of guy who will retire after such a defeat.

 

Khan's never wanted to face Prescott again, though.

I think Bute should stay away from Froch. He can't fight him straight away because he got knocked out and you can't fight for the title if you've just been knocked out or something but Froch ****ed him up when it was a 50/50 fight. Froch knows he can hurt him now and I can only see a rematch being just as brutal for Bute.

I used to hate Bute because of his Calzaghe style stay at home ways but he's won me over with how humble he's been after this fight. I think there are better ways to a world title for him than through Froch, ways guarded by people without an iron fist and heavy hands.

 

I'm okay with Bute-Froch II, just give us Kessler-Froch II first, please.

Amir was what? 22 when he lost? And it wasn't to a top level fighter at his desired weight.
I would actually like Bute to come back.I've come to quite like the guy,but he's a world away from Froch,far less Ward.His first outing against a top operator and he went to pieces.It looked to me like he was completely overawed by being away from home and in against a decent opponent.
I hope the guy proves me wrong,I really do.
But it won't be against Froch.Not from what I've seen up to now.

 

I'd watch it. The first fight was entertaining as ****, who wouldn't want to see that again? The thing is, can Bute recover? Maybe he knows something we don't, like he took Froch way too lightly, didn't train, was partying, ect...maybe he lost focus and drive but now has found it in defeat? If so then the rematch would be insane. With that said, he took a ****ing beating and needs a soft touch for his next fight. Take a break and then a tune up, then go after Froch again and this time give it all that you have. Odds are it will probably still be the same result tho...

The point is that Khan recovered from a utterly devastating loss to become a legit champion again. There's a chance Bute can do the same.

 

I really dnt get how people are Evan trying to make this rematch seen plausible but in turn think froch should no way rematch ward

 

Froch KOs Bute 10 out of 10 times. He should avoid the rematch and get back to fighting no hopers and has beens in front of a full house in Canada.

 

Agree on both counts. Bute earned a lot of respect from me for giving Andrade an immediate rematch. I also respect his fighting spirit for wanting a rematch.

However, a smart decision and an emotional decision are two different things. He needs to be smart here and get in a tuneup or two before venturing into to world class territory again.

 

I think Bute would be better off rebuilding at 175lbs, a weight he will clearly make far more easily. Bute has never had the strongest of Jaws but being at the light heavyweight limit a week before a fight having already trained hard for a few months is not a good sign. Very few fighters can drain weight like that and maintain a decent standard of performance. Having said that Bute was completely put off by the hostile atmosphere long before Froch landed the first of many hard blows, he quite simply looked lost, who knows this experience may benifit him in the long run, lets be honest he's never going to experience anything quite as electric as that atmospere ever again. Ive criticised Bute in the past but i genuinely feel for him in this instance, he is far better than what he showed on saturday night, he looked sluggish, slow, stiff and weak. I want to see him rebuild and secure a rematch, he came up short this time but he's a good fighter and deserves a chance to avenge his defeat.
